39dearMIKU

Welcome to the profile of a harcore Miku fan who even makes videos about his crush and passion, Hatsune Miku. I am Kevin but many people here know me as "39dearMIKU".
The following intro text is very long and a bit outdated, but maybe it is still intersting for some people here.
I was active on "VocaloidOtaku.net" since 2013, until it went offline in March 2018. I posted a lot there (around 2500 posts) and loved the community, met so many of my travel buddies and real life friends there. Sad to see it go, but here I am on the spiritual successor, Vocaloverse.net. I hope I will have more nice discussions about Magical Mirai and the Project Diva games here in the future mainly. I hope for some cool news in the future!
I still haven't lost my passion for Miku since it all started in August 2012 one bit and am hyped for more of her, more live events to go to like Magical Mirai 2018 this year and more.
Anyway, this is all from my "new introduction"...old self...take over!

I am a 23 years old male Vocaloid fan from Germany, to be a bit more specific Munich.

Favorite Vocaloid producers:
Hachiouji-P
Kz livetune
DECO*27

初音ミクが大好きです!!!
I am 39dearMIKU, produce content about Miku on YouTube!
How did I get so obsessed with Miku? I showed that in an entertaining way in this video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2UA08J2ym4
So here is my ranking of the Vocaloids I listen to, judged by how many songs I know and like, how much I like the voice, the character...just everything taken into consideration. Yeah I only really listen to songs sung by the Crypton Vocaloids and IA so far.
Miku >>>>>> Rin >>> Len >>> IA >> Luka >>> Meiko > Kaito

HOW DID I DISCOVER VOCALOID?
(Update December 2016) Not even kidding, I made a video about that! If you are interested, check it out! I think it is entertaining^^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2UA08J2ym4
I started being intersted in Vocaloid only in mid 2012, when I heard about the Vita game Hatsune Miku Project Diva f by accident. It caught my interest at first because I am in general a huge Anime fan, so I am always interested in that kind of stuff. I didn't know what this was all about and after I really liked the promotional video of "Summer Idol" and the music, I did some research and found out all kind of stuff. I was really impressed, fell in love with the music and bought the Vita system just for this game. By the way, one year later, a few days ago, I even bought a PS3 mainly because of the Vocaloid games on there!
Well, of course, from this point on, I was in general interested in Vocaloid, found a lot of awesome songs I like and fell in love with the live concerts of 2012.

MY EXPERIENCE OF A MIKU LIVE CONCERT
That's why I absolutely have to see Miku and the other Vocaloid live one day!!! ...this is from when I first took the time to write my text. By now, I have fulfilled this dream. But you know how it is. You have very high expectations of something because it is about something you like so much. It is easy for the expectations to be not met right? Normally yes! But in this case...they were surpassed! I can't describe how I even felt after the concert. It was just the best thing ever in my life. I even filmed on the whole day of the event, it was part of my trip to Japan in Summer 2014. To get an impression of the event and especially my reaction to everything, here is the link to my video on my YT-channel (you can find mostly Project Diva videos other than that there):

[Update! Since Magical Mirai 2015 is already in the past, here is my event report for that one too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFIvGcmgHmQ ]
So yeah, it was great. So great that I was determined to go to the next concert in Japan the next year as well. And here I am! Writing this, I am going to leave for Japan once again in just 2 days and will be attending Magical Mirai 2015 in Tokyo, in the legendary Nippon Budoukan. There will be 3 concerts...and I have tickets for all of them.

After knowing Vocaloid for over 3 years now, I can happily announce that I feared that I would loose interest in this eventaully but I actually love Vocaloid more and more!
Even though I know much more now already (I didn't know about anything other than the Vocaloids from Crypton Future Media Inc. for quite some time) and I even follow the Weekly Vocaloid Ranking sometimes so I can know more songs (before I only knew songs from the live concerts and the games), one thing has not changed: My favorite Vocaloid is Hatsune Miku, by far. In general, I listen to 98% Cryptonoids.

I think it is pretty obvious how much I love Miku (because of the song selection above, click on the spoiler to show the list), right? Not only her voice, how many songs I love there are sung by her, but also her looks, her sexiness, her "spirit" her...well I can't even describe. I don't only like the "music" side of her but clearly also the "character", Mikus as a "person".
Also my first Vocaloid song ever is marked in the same color as this text above, Summer Idol! It was shown in a commercial of Project Diva f that I watched, the first contact I ever had with Vocaloid back in July 2012.

"DREAM SETLIST"
There have been many Miku concerts in the past and I hope there will be more for a long time. I for myself have visited Magical Mirai 2014 in Osaka and it was one of the best days in my life and I will visit Magical Mirai 2015 in Tokyo this year, actually just a few weeks from now that I am writing this. But what would the perfect setlist look like to me, based on my favorite songs also with a bit of a balance of other Crypton Vocaloids? Well, I couldn't really narrow it down to a "typical" 25 songs setlist, but I came up with a 39 songs one (and there has in fact been one concert with that many songs!)! So to me, a perfect setlist would be like this (if you want to know the artists and Vocaloid singing, check out the list of my liked songs further above and use your browsers search feature for more convenience if necessary):
01 Sweet Devil
02 Nijigen Dream Fever
03 Romeo to Cinderella
04 Ura-Omote Lovers
05 Burenai Ai de
06 Suki Kirai
07 Melancholic
08 Tokyo Teddybear
09 Kokoro
10 Migikata no Chou
11 Soundless voice
12 {‰
13 Electric Angel Remix by GigaP
14 Weekender Girl
15 Viva Happy
16 Hajimete no Koi ga Owaru Toki
17 Kochira, Koufuku Anshin Iinkai Desu.
18 Hatsune Miku no Gekishou
19 Uta ni Katachi wa nai keredo
20 Wonderland to Hitsuji no Uta
21 Leia
22 Nostalogic
23 Jougen no Tsuki
24 Ifuu Doudou
25 Colorful Melody
26 Tell Your World
27 Fake Doll
28 Yume Yume
29 Melt
30 Earth Day
31 Time Machine
32 Odds and Ends
33 Last Night, Good Night
34 Carry Me Off
35 Ai Kotoba II
36 Shake it!
37 Torinoko City
38 Spica
39 39

So, this is interesting. I counted and realized this:
13 of these songs have been played at last years Magical Mirai, 14 counting all Magical Mirais (only Leia wasn't played last year)
13 of these songs have been played at at least one Mikupa or Kanshasai concert in the past, the "older" concerts
12 have never been played at any concerts before, but one out of these has a good chance to be played this year (official CD)
So what can I say? It is very unlikely a setlist like that could ever happen. But just as it was done at the "Shanghai concert" in 2015, I would think combining some "old concert" songs and Magical Mirai songs would make a great mix. But even like this, I really LOVE the setlist that they have at current Magical Mirais. I mean, it's not "perfect" by my standarts, but how could that ever happen, that's basically impossible.
The 25 songs that you can hear toady are still songs that on average I could rate the setlist from last years Magical Mirai 8,6/10!! And the encore, Sweet Devil - Shake it! - 39, are 3 of my all time favorite songs one after another. If that's not something I should be satisfied about then I don't know what to say anymore!

Update! Magical Mirai 2015
So just another very quick update here. I talk a lot about "going to Magical Mirai 2015 soon" in that profile. Writing that, this is sadly behind me. So what did I think? Since I don't want to write another very long text here, let's just quickly say: Seeing Miku in 3 concerts on 2 days was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the very different setlist even though many of my favorites were cut. But a lot of good new songs (compared to last years score of 8.6/10 this year is 8.5/10 on average lol, I calculated it again after rating every song) were added. All 3 concerts kinda felt different even though the setlist was the same. So it was a lot of fun being together with Miku again, as close as you can get, but still, last year was a bit more special. But probably just because it was the first Miku concert for me ever back then. So I definitely wanna go again but I am not sure if I can next year...well let's see. Other than the concerts, the expo was a lot of fun too (I played the new Project Diva X and the virtual reality Miku stuff on PS4 which is gonna be amazing, feels like you can almost touch Miku!! And I spent way too much money on so much Miku merchandise) and it is amazing that Miku finally made it to the Budoukan. Well and it was so much fun spending so much time with people that I met on this site, I wanna especially mention Justin (VocalVortex) and Spooky (Wei Wei) and of course again Gabriele (MagicalMiku). Thank you so much! I really hope for next year!!
By the way my "Dream Setlist" and "songs I like" in general is already not really acurate anymore because many new songs I know now, especially because of some new songs from the concert and the new Hachiouji-P album "Desktop Cinderella" that I bought on release data in Japan on which I basically love every song on. Best song clearly is "Yeah! Yeah!! Yeah!!!". Makes you so happy listening to it.
Oh and one more thing: I really can't just write something "short" apparently and obviously lol.

Update May 2016: I flew all the way from Germany to California and had an amazing 9 days with my good friends from VO, Wei and Justin and we all visited the two Miku Expo concerts in San Francisco and the one in Los Angeles. It was a nice experience to have this kind of different setlist, but I can safely say Magical Mirai concerts are on a much higher level!
I am not 100% sure yet, but I think I can go to Magical Mirai 2016 as well. I already bought tickets so...

Update September 2016: Magical Mirai 2016 is in the past now, too. Time flies, I am so sad. Well, it was probably the best event yet, I mean everything was so big and there was so much to see and do. The concerts were so different than last year and just really fun. Nevermind I got sick and the third day was just hell for me...
Anyway if I have time next year I wanna go to Magical Mirai 2017 without a question. Only time will tell. (Event report to all Miku events a bit further up on this page).

Update September 2017: I am writing this on the night the event is over, in Japan in my hotel room. I have to face reality and see that it is very unlikely I will be at next years Mirai, which has already been confirmed, again. This event was amazing, because of my amazing friends and just everything else. The venue with so much stuff to do, great side events and just...almost perfect. The concerts were incredible and I got very emotional. I cried a lot at the end thinking I can't go again and singing Hajimete no Oto along with all these people and Miku. The tears got the better of me. The highlight, Miku had the best speech ever at the final concert only, not only were the words meaningful but she was literally crying. I was too, a lot, believe me. I am very sad now and don't know what the future will hold, but no matter how, I will have Miku as an important part of my life. Up until now, thank you for everything and I am excited for your bright future. I will go seeing you again. I...promise. One day.

Miku makes me happy when I am sad and even happier when I am not sad! <3
Just on a quick note, other than Vocaloid, Japan in general (traditional culture, the country, the people, the language) and Anime (I watch quite a lot of recent Anime and a lot more) are the biggest interests of mine.

Yeah, that is all I think.
I hope to have some nice discussions here in this forum!!
