  • I don't think I'm gonna be able to finish all my fanarts by tomorrow. I'll most likely finish Zombie, but I don't know about Get Wild; I really wanna finish them both, but I think I'm gonna have to push Get Wild a day or two back.

Curse my lack of time management... -_-
I think I'm getting sick ugh. Out of all the times my immune system could've failed on me, it had to be when I had fanarts to finish...

I just got back from homecoming! I'm now really behind on homework now, but at least I enjoyed myself tonight!

Yeah! I was afraid that there wasn't going to be any music I knew to dance to, but there was quite a bit and I danced a lot!
I'm going to homecoming soon! Let's just hope it's worth the ten bucks
I have a project for my World History class where we have to make either a song or a poem about what we're learning in class. If I'm allowed to, it'd be really cool if I could make a song and have Eleanor Forte sing it. Even if I can do that, there's two problems: one, I have to mix the instrumental which I have no idea how to do, and I can't afford to commission someone to do it for me; two, I need to find an already existing instrumental to make the melody for and that somewhat fits the content I have to cover.

With every creative project I get I always want to find a way to sneak in vocal synths lol

Okay then! I'll see if I'm allowed to make the song with her. If plans don't change, then I'll send it to you. Thanks for the offer! :D
To me I find it so weird when people ask producers which vocaloid is the best to use. I feel like every recommendation people make is completely subjective. Plus, I think it's kinda limiting. If I can't use my favorite vocaloid just because the majority say they're hard to use, I don't think I would have the best time using the software. Even if a voicebank is known to be really bad to use or not for beginners, if you like them, then that's what really matters. Doubt that many people think this way too, but that's what I would do.

Definitely. I wanted Oliver because I like his voice and am attached to him since he's in most of my fics; I got thread after thread of "Ugh, he's such a pain, do NOT waste your money, especially not if you're new to the program". I got him anyway. Is he tricky to tune well? Yes. Do I regret starting out with him? Not in the slightest.

It's like a lot of people equate ease of use to the overall quality and worthiness of a voicebank, and it gets annoying.

I guess it depends on what you want to do. Lily is my favorite vocaloid but I don't plan on buying her anytime soon because Ive heard shes hard to use and I'm already terrible at tuning. Some people just generally want recommendations for who is easier to get a grip on. But, I do agree that people shouldnt discourage people from ever buying certain loids- I told my friend I wanted to get Sonika, because I like female engloids, and he was like "no! dont ever get her, shes so broken and hard to use"
Maybe so, but i like her voice lol.
I do agree that recommending can be hard and subjective because everyone tends to use vocaloid differently. You may think a loid is easy but if someone has a different style than you it might be really hard for them! This is why I think people should play with free trials instead of ask producers. Producers are already skilled so they dont face the challenges that newbies do.

sorry for this tangent i just had a lot to say about this topic i guess :gackpo_lili:

I agree that it's a very subjective matter. I know a lot of people say Miku Original is the easiest to tune, but when I first started Vocaloid and got her free trial, I found her very difficult to work with. I ended up being convinced to get Rin and Len (v4x) since they're a two for one, and I found them much easier to tune than Miku ever was. They were still a bit difficult to work with (moreso Rin than Len), but I ended up having more fun learning to use them.

I think it's fine to say "X vocaloid is difficult", but I don't think people should discourage others from using said Vocaloid. Sometimes starting with a higher difficulty level has its advantages.

I agree that someone looking to get a Vocaloid should just go with whoever they like. Chances are even if its more difficult, you might have more fun with it because you like it.

(Sorry for the long post! XP)
Do I dare getting Synth V? I had the trial for like a day but couldn't figure out the phonemes but I kinda wanna get the trial again and make something.
You know having an ebooks account is kinda fun. Even though I now have to worry about coming up with ideas, it's really nice interacting with other accounts
