  • I’ll admit—I didn’t think I would care for the new characters introduced in Project Sekai. Hoo boy, was I wrong. They’re all so splendid and interesting. Their personalities shine through in just their voices and actions, and you almost don’t need to even be able to understand the story to get a feel for their personalities. I hope the Sekai will get localized soon because from the bits and pieces of story I do understand, it seems interesting. I’d love to play through once it gets localized so I can fully understand the story!

Also the song list is fantastic, and the human singers are extremely good! There are some songs I don’t quite like their vocals for, but that’s a given with anything, I think.
I look forward to seeing how this game grows.

This got linked to in Discord today, have you seen it?

(I don't play PS, but seeing clips on Twitter it looks pretty cute.)

Oooh, I haven’t seen that yet! Thank you for sharing!!
I just found out Gekiyaku’s vbs have stopped being distributed and idk what to think… 😔
If anyone happens to have all of her vbs backed up somewhere, plz hmu. I have a few of them, but I still wanted to dl all the others and play around with them.

Here’s hoping everyone who has her vbs will be willing to back them up and share so they don’t become lost media like a certain other gray hair red-eyed UTAU’s whisper voicebank.
    Edit: Thsnk you Patuk!!!

I might have dl'd some on my other computer? Not sure but I can look, which vbs do you have already? But yeah...utau creators sure are delete-happy as of late sheesh

Honestly, it surprises me that Tei’s VP was never involved with more projects outside of Tei. Her voice acting is excellent based on the samples you can download from Tei’s site and also from that Tei song I shared in the spooky songs thread.
Wonder if she does something under a different name… I’d honestly love to hear what she’s capable of outside of Tei.🤔

maybe she found out what her name means in slovak and got shy JUST KIDDING JUST KIDDING

Kako Futaba god bless u and I respect u and Im so sorry but kako is a slang term for poop in slovak

but that's just a theory a game theory

TeiLen is one of my favorite ships, but I love TeiTo a whole hecking lot, too. Every time I see TeiTo stuff, I just, my heart—they’re too adorable.

Tei’s low-range is so good, I just, ugh. Glad I finally found a song where I can make use of it—she even handles the out-of-range notes well. <3
I’d love to hear low-range Tei more often—she’s just too good.
You know, in terms of being able to get away with slightly out of range shenanigans, UTAU’s engine overall handles the very high notes much better while Vocaloid I feel like handles the lower notes better (though it does not do a good job transitioning between low-range to high-range, speaking from experience).
Overall, though, I feel like Vocaloid is a lot more limiting in ranges? Like, even when I keep them in their recommended range, I can hear the voice beginning to collapse or sound froggy. (Or in Mayu’s case, her higher notes can sound nasally but no longer understandable…)

This could also be affected by the voice types I’m using… you really can’t pull out of range shenanigans with Teto sakebi or Ruko kire, but Tei, for example, can get a little higher than her recommended range with a little bit of cheesing your way through. (I am not extremely fond of her high notes akfjdkdhdkd, but if you increase the g flag a bit you can get rid of the shrieky-ness in her highs.)
Also, I know it sounds biased since I’m using Tei as an example but this isn’t Tei propaganda, I swear sndjdkdjs
I found out Gekiyaku has natural vocal fry. Just when I thought I couldn’t have more reasons to love her, I’ve gotten yet another. (I love vocal fry a lot for some reason, haha.)
Honestly, Project Sekai is a lot of fun, and the covers are much better than I expected. My only gripe is that some of the “expert” charts are poorly charted, imo. (Instead of feeling like true test of skill, it feels more like they threw in every type of note they could without considering if it actually fits or not.)
Imo, Sekai has probably the best song list of any Vocaloid rhythm game aside from Mirai. There’s much more variety in Sekai than Diva, and I live for it.
I’ve managed to give Tei a fake vocal fry, hehehe. I get off kinda lucky tho and won’t have to do “あ” since she has a slight natural one there!
Would anyone be able to help me read the text in this video? Someone asked me if I could translate for them and I’d like to know what it says as well, but I can’t read Kanji very well and can’t find them when I try searching by radical. I just need to words in text format so I can translate them. ^^

Is there anyone who might be willing to help me understand this UTAU fry voicebank tutorial? I’m having a hard time with reading some of the Japanese and I’m not really skilled enough to understand what they’re talking about. (Google translate isn’t of much help either…)
Something I never noticed until recently was just how energetic Tei’s vbs actually are? I’ve listened to a couple more upbeat songs covered with her and she gives the songs new life and energy they didn’t have before? She sounds like she’s having a good time and tbh, the energy is contagious. XD
Like yeah, you go girl! Have fun doing your funky vocal synth thing.
My Yoshiwara Teto came in today!! I love her so much, she’s worth every bit. <3

Of course! I don’t have the exact measurements but she’s a lot taller than your average figure (she seems to be a bit taller than a Sega prize figure!). I wanna say she was a 1/7 scale but I’m not sure if that’s right—I’m bad with measurements sometimes. XD

Why Nana became a Vocaloid but teto didn't?

Some time ago Team Twindrill had stated at some point that they didn’t want Teto to be exclusive to people who pay!
My new cover premieres in 15 minutes or so! Hope you can make it!!

Thank you soooo much!! I’m glad you enjoyed!!! :D :D :D
Been experimenting with some new stuff in UTAU to sort of emulate human singing (not necessarily Mitchie M level stuff, but a nice balance between a human feel and synthesized feel) since I’m covering a song that was originally sung by a human singer! I think it’s working out well—especially since Gekiyaku’s milder banks have a similar tone!
Well, Miku Expo USA and Canada has officially been cancelled. I understand why, of course, but I’m so disappointed since it was going to be my first Vocaloid concert. :’D
The fact that you can straight up switch to a VB in a different language and SynthV 2 will guess the phonemes for you despite the difference in languages is such a blessing. I can’t wait to have too much fun making the Kotonohas and some others sing in different languages! Also English Kotonoha cover coming soon. 👀
