  • This is my number one recommendation for any live DJ event--make a list of the songs available somewhere, maybe after the event. Or putting the name on the screen during the stream would be great. These events are a great place to find wonderful new songs, and the name of the song is like the most common single question in the chat.
Apologies: it's Digital Stars that starts 5 mins early. So the preshow should be on the hour, I think.
About an hour and 16 minutes until the first preshow of Hatsune Miku Expo 2021 Online begins! Is everyone ready? Is everyone excited!?

Hopefully this doesn't come across as preachy, but stuff to check:
    • Is your tech (device/internet/ability to reach Twitch or YouTube Live) working?
    • Do you have any drinks/snacks you want?
    • Do you have any merch you want to have on-hand during the show?
Just a reminder: less than 24 hours until Miku Expo 2021 Online begins! Schedule/online venue info here; subevent info here. Available for free on Twitch and YouTube Live, but use Twitch if you want to see Digital Stars! Runs 3 times over the span of 15 hours, so hopefully there's a reasonably convenient time regardless of your time zone.

Just gonna throw this out there: Alex Trip Sands (of Miku Expo 2020's MikuFiesta fame) has released the albums "Caribe Diva" and "Caribe Diva: Side B" through Karent recently. If you're curious, I'd recommend giving them a listen. There are some really fun Caribbean/Latin sounds there! Plus, none of the synths he uses have a Spanish VB, yet I, who have only the Spanish I learned in school behind me, can readily understand them. That's so freakin' cool--there's some skill there!
Do you ever get tired of all the conflict in things? Movies, TV, video games, etc. Lots of people think it's not even possible to write plot that has no driving conflict. Though I've also read articles about writing that claim it's possible, but examples are really on the fringe.

Though...I think I'm really just tired of conflict in general. Whether weekday or weekend, internal or external, I feel like I'm always struggling against something. And...it just got really old a long time ago.

Sorry... It's just been a great and really relaxing weekend, and I'm not looking forward to tomorrow and having some of the same stuff start up all over again. And as I ponder which anime/TV/video game to use to indulge in some escapism, I'm hard-pressed to come up with one that can easily deliver me to the idyllic anime beach-scene-with-friends trope.

Though...I do think there's something wrong with how struggling seems to be ingrained in/permeates everything, and it's just accepted that this is how things are. Whether there's something wrong with the world, or the way the people who live there think, I'm not sure--probably both.

^^^^ THIS (and in my country we'Re ALWAYS guilty of it... Like ok, some in comedies can be alright 3 sec, but when you overabuse it to make it be like ~~~ realistic~~~ well sorry, but nope, there are still people that are balanced enough to not spend their whole time shouting and being utterly agressive and hostile to any living being -and even objects- , so yeah, sorry but copying Kaamelot isn't originality guys ; moreover sorry but with the current on-going pandemic and current stress, sorry but I want to laugh, get positive vibes, not having stupid, hurtful and traumatic quarrels we have enough of this IRL and on the Web, and yet it's coming from somebody who's justly into Kaamelot and police/detective movies)

Probably the best feel-good, slice-of-life anime I've seen (and I've seen hundreds) is Non Non Biyori.
Watch this clip and it will tell you if you'll like it; it's the clip I randomly saw that made me go watch it:

It's been a good weekend. I spent the last few days outside in reasonably warm weather, wearing my Miku hat and sipping from my Miku cup, studying music stuff. Life is good.
My bird has incredible ears. How do I know? After absentmindedly humming Senbonzakura while going about other business, I noticed him chattering up a storm in response from elsewhere in the house. :miku_ani_lili:
