    I finally figured it out! The reason my V4s keep disappearing from my computer and I have to reinstall them!

    Every so often, I'll uninstall my larger VBs to free up space on my laptop, and, as I do with all things, I uninstall it through Revo so that I can also catch unnecessary files that would otherwise take up space.

    Turns out, when I do a clean wipe of V4 banks, it does a wipe of not just THAT voicebank, but of ALL my V4s. The files are still there, but the data gets wiped, and so I have to run their installers under Repair.

    Ah, I'm so happy! Now I know what NOT to do next time~

    I've never had an album affect me this negatively in all my life. I'm at the point where I'm not constantly dwelling on it, but every time it pops into my head, I feel lost and a little nauseous. Over a freaking ALBUM. (That my girlfriend warned me first-hand would put me in a dark place, but she's the smart one in the relationship, so of course I didn't listen.)

    I've gotta get outta this headspace. I've found a good cover for Miku NT (granted, it's ultra-obscure, so I might need to aim for something a little... less obscure?), so maybe starting on that when I get home will help.

    Geezus. I am SO sorry--and considering that I saw your description of it the other day, I simply must express agreement with Opal and wonder why the ever-loving heck that's legal. Because that's just really, really awful and mind-fucky. I understand musical expression, but I think line needs to be drawn at making music that negatively affects others.

    It's okay! I think in the grand scheme of things it's not too bad: the album has brought the horrors of dementia into the forefronts of many younger peoples' minds who might not otherwise think of it, and it's a disease that deserves that attention. Kinda like a grimdark version of what the Ice Bucket Challenge did for ALS. Sometimes things SHOULD stay with you... but it's definitely not best to get into that when you know you're one day of missed medications away from a total breakdown. That's on me. :clara_ani_lili:

    I've gone into Everywhere at the End of Time being told the first hour and a half are nice and peaceful, and things don't get really bad until Stage 3. I'm 20 minutes in and I'm already experiencing a dread so intense my soul is ascending (or maybe descending).

    So I'm alternating between this and a playlist with MitchieM and 40mP. Here's hoping I can accomplish this brutal listen!

    Oh thank God, Gakupo's status FINALLY updated. He was released from Customs in Chicago yesterday, meaning he should be here by the end of the week!

    And if he's not, I will PERSONALLY drive up there and pry him from the hands of whatever bedraggled postal worker has him myself, because he is baby.

    I've been considering changing my PFP. I still adore OliLen, but I don't regularly provide content for them anymore... the thing is, I don't do much of ANYTHING anymore but take up space and waste oxygen, so I'm not sure what I should change it to. Any ideas?

    Gakupo's status hasn't updated since the 30th. I know, I know, weekend, but I'm still operating under the panic of "But it's Monday in Japan, I should know something by now!" in spite of the fact that he's likely in the US by now.

    This happens every time I get a VB shipped. It's been three years since I got my first VB shipped from overseas and I STILL panic when there's a lapse in shipping coverage. One day I'll learn, but for now, I'm just gonna keep refreshing the page every ten minutes and hope for the best!

    I've fallen deeply in love with 50s-style A-line dresses, like stuff in rockabilly fashion, but more colorful and cute. The trouble is finding such things in my size at a decent price. I found a website that sells some GORGEOUS outfits, including a retro-style rendition of that famous strawberry sundress, but their sizes are all jacked up. A size 14, typically regarded as a Medium in US sizes? That's their size 3XL. They have a limited selection of plus-sizes that include my size, but according to them, I'm a 5XL, and that's the absolute largest size they produce, and the size they have the least options for...

    Anyone know of any good, plus-size friendly websites that sell those kinds of fashions? As much as I love fashion, I'm rarely in anything but pajamas or my work uniform, so I'm uninformed on where to find such things.

    Hey, there's a thought! One of my (admittedly infuriating) regulars just took ownership of a local thrift shop and brought me a coupon in thanks for my help, so I might go and look there on my day off~ last time I was in that particular shop the plus sized options were... pathetic, to say the least, but hopefully now that ownership has changed hands I'll have more options!

    When we first started talking outside of VVN, Patuk regularly used my real name, but I still stuck with her username because that’s just what I was used to. It’s flip-flopped since then: aside from the odd pet name, I always use her real name (to the point that saying her username when addressing her feels wrong), whereas I’m now her Peachy. This also has the side-effect of me going “!!!!!! NO” internally when anyone else calls me Peachy, not because I’m not okay with it, but because, well… I’m her Peachy, and she called me that first. :clara_ani_lili:

    To this day I still butcher her name every time I say it, not for lack of pitiful Americanized trying, but because the first time she heard me say it she begged me to always say it like that. One day I’ll pull out all the stops and impress her with an absolutely perfect pronunciation~

    Bit of an odd request, but would anyone be able to make scans for some SynthV banks? What I'm really wanting is the scan for Aiko's box, though I'd love to have Shian and Chiyu's boxes as well for when I get them. I'm doing another round of box-making for my digital 'loids, and I wanna have as many VBs accounted for as possible!

    Hmm... all I'll be missing at that point is Miku Chinese (too thicc to replicate and, I imagine, too troublesome to scan and uphold proportions), Matcha (the fanmade scan for her uses Azuki's logo dyed green instead of Matcha's logo), Rikka (I'm assuming she's like Maki and has a thicc case with a removable sleeve, but the problem would be finding an adequate-sized case), and all of my SynthVs for whom boxes were never made (Genbu, Ellie, Minus, and Muxin). I'm also lacking a case for Avanna, not because her scan isn't readily available, but because I can't get past the fact that it looks so... DeviantArt-esque. I try to love it and I can't. 😅

    Welp! No matter what, I'm gaining five new additions in the next day or two: Sachiko, Fukase, Cyva, Al, and Ann! And that's enough to content me for now.

    Guh... years ago I found a BM art book on eBay. It was all in Japanese of course, but it featured obscure details and exclusive art for every game from SNES to ANB in celebration of the series' 15th anniversary (the series turns 25 this year, for reference). I gave it to a friend when I left college and I forgot all about it... but I FINALLY found it! And eesh, it's more expensive than I remember.

    Nonetheless, I'm heeeaaaavily considering buying it again. It brought me so much joy, and now that my serotonin is lower than ever, I could use some of that.
