    Being raised in a family of singers means that, every so often, my interests overlap with theirs. It turns out my father’s familiar with Eric Holloway — he’s a baritone, and Holloway is one of his favorite bassists (er, oktavists, I suppose). So now he’s fanboying over Asterian along with me.

    With Thanksgiving finally out of the way, I swapped out my sunflower clip for a Christmas bow clip. I've had three customers complain already because "It's Black Friday! It's still not time for Christmas!"

    I've been waiting for over THREE WEEKS to celebrate my favorite holiday in a way deemed socially acceptable, just LET ME HAVE THIS. Also it's Black Friday and I'm a service worker, all service workers on Black Friday are permitted to anything they want.

    Christmas started here in September, we've had all the christmas sweets up for sale for months and the decor started in october lmao. And believe me, Easter will start like mid february, because before that is Karneval. If we didn't have that it would really be immediately after Christmas affjkdjdj

    Honestly, I think criticizing a random stranger's clothes falls under the Thumper the Bunny rule: "if you can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all." Even if it's meant to be good-natured, it's a little dicey, because you don't know how they feel about it, and the joke isn't worth the risk of bothering them.

    I’ve spent the past week exploring my masculine-presenting side, and I think I’m getting somewhere with it! Men’s clothes are weird; everything I try is too tight in some places and then too baggy in others, and I’ve yet to find anything that fits Just Right. But I’m figuring out what fashions I like best when presenting masculine, so if I can find something that ACTUALLY FITS then I’m gonna have a great time!

    I’ve tossed around going by another name when presenting masculine, but I dunno. Donovan popped in my head one day and won’t go away, but I feel like having two alternate-gender names with the same first letter would be tacky. I’m probably overthinking it, but I’ll focus on figuring out presentation for now and just go from there.

    Ah, I’m surprised how much more comfortable overall I feel with myself! I found a bracelet at Spencer’s in the colors of the nonbinary flag and have been wearing it ever since. I fit right in with the enby community on Reddit and try to pay back the kindness I’ve received by giving it tenfold. In the long-term, not much is changing, but I just feel so much more confident in who I am.

    I love menswear, but apart from small or extra small t-shirts, I don't wear actual mens' clothes because they're obviously not cut for women, so everything fits wrong on me. I normally go for menswear-inspired pieces in womens' cuts as a compromise, but if you're presenting as fully masculine, you probably don't want stuff that emphasises a feminine body.

    If you find anything that's almost perfect but not quite, you might want to consider tailoring. I know more brands are showing up that offer unisex clothes, but they tend to be more expensive.

    ANYWAY, personal shade and overused strawman arguments aside, I’m looking forward to today: I finally have a day off, and I wanna make a dent in some projects! I have to crack down and actually FINISH one eventually. I have a Tsudumi cover that I’ve got the file complete for, I just have to finish tuning it… but I also wanna play around with Allen and Sarah.

    Actually, I kicked around a Christmas cover back in summer and decided to save it for the actual time of year. And I’m thinking Allen might just be perfect for it…

    So which one of y'all was planning to tell me that VoiSona revamped their vibrato function?

    ...it's been a while since I've used it since it's still kinda finicky to use, so I'm probably months behind the rest of the fandom, but holy shit, the vibrato is what CeVIO's vibrato SHOULD be. It's so much simpler and so much easier to control!
