When you see a bunch of people compare a hip hop project with real life voice actors singing to Vocaloid thats how u know there's still a lot of confusion about what it is (or is vocaloid music just so absorbed into internet culture that people will compare it to anything? idk)
Vocaloid is great because there's thousands of producers and hundreds of thousands of songs and there's no pressure to keep up with any of them so you get to pick and choose who you follow!
Even If I'm just making a little plug and play cover, I like to make my own art for it. It makes the video a little more unique and it at least requires a little more effort
Even though I was a vocaloid fan when I was a young teen, I cannot relate to people who are like "wow I loved Vocaloid when I was a 12 year old!" whenever someone brings up story of evil/alice human sacrifice/other iconic older songs...i'm just totally over most of those songs/producers and they're like...the last thing I think of when I think of vocaloid now
Kasamura toota is the vocaloid producer we've been waiting for...uses a variety of vocaloids, has a unique musical style, makes songs with poignant and touching themes without being too grimdark or edgy...we cannot help but to stan
There's actually a few similarities between idol series and seiyuu projects like hypmic or paradox live and vocaloid. The difference is that vocaloids are digital voices and the content is user generated instead of being made by a company
Am I the only person who didn't go through a phase where they thought 96neko was a vocaloid...? I was introduced to her through people saying she was an utaite.
The big difference between Western/Japanese vocaloid community is that Japanese producers and artists have way more of a presence in pop culture ...emon and Yuyoyuppe made music for A3 and Akiakane(artist of the fanmade rolling girl PV and Butterfly on your right shoulder) designed the characters in paradox live
Made wiki pages for another batch of UTAUs, this time the ones made by Riushi/リュウシ. It took a little longer than I expected. Also I was NOT ready for that sudden creepy/body horror stuff on Memai's official page, yikes.
