  • Anybody know any relatively short/simple duet songs by chance? Asking for a friend. (I was going to do a TV version of a Love Live song buuuut idk)
I got so excited because I found a website selling Hatsune Miku chest binders but then it turned out they were sold out djsidkjdj Oh well it's not like I'm that big a Miku fan anyway harumph /totally not going to go look for a Hello Kitty binder now because an actual Iroha binder would be too much to hope for

I tried looking for customizable chest binders, and I'm genuinely surprised that I didn't find what I was looking for... I figured there'd be a pretty big market for such things. I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks! :akasakiminato_lili: Honestly I’m tempted to just buy a plain binder and use transfer paper to print out a picture of Iroha to put on it (though I don’t even think we have an iron to use for it, though I guess I could buy one)
I tried to use a shortcut to create a talkloid part for this cover by using Vocalshifter and I actually got one that I didn't think sounded too bad... until I listened to it back to back with the singing part and realized it's way too high because the reference is my voice rofl oops (about to forgo everything and just throw a mix together because I'm TIRED of thinking of this cover, I've been meaning to make it since July)

Does Vocalshifter produce a WAV or something? Otherwise, why not just select all the notes and drag them lower on the piano roll?

Yeah, it exports WAVs. In hindsight I might have been able to drag down the pitch lines in the program if I’d thought about it. Maybe I’ll try again if I decide to revisit the cover later.
I can write the lyrics and hear the music in my head but translating it into actual music is just too elusive somehow. I think learning an instrument might help but I can never decide between piano and guitar
Me on January 1: I'm impulse buying a midi keyboard *buys it and only uses it to test stuff out once*
Me now: I'm gonna impulse buy an electric guitar
My inner voice, weeping: Please, for the love of all that's sacred, just pick something and STICK WITH IT FOR ONCE

Part of me wants to stick with my voice but Gender Dysphoria says "Haha no actually" and my anxiety says, "You will damage your vocal cords trying you are too ill" slfjkdsljfsdkljfdsljfdslk ffff heck
I have a conspiracy theory that H/the new 1st place girl is flower because I used to have this elaborate Madoka/Vocaloid crossover plotted out in my brain where Flower was a magical girl whose "real" name was Hana but when she transformed she became Flower (I Wish I Were Joking... about the Madoka crossover at least, I'm joking about the "H=Flower" bit)
I just wrote a potential song's worth of lyrics and I'm tempted to share it with my Japanese tutor to see what she thinks of it... though it's about gender dysphoria and stuff I did recently so I'm kinda :kyo_lili: about it too
Me: I'm not going to focus on covers anymore
Also me listening to a random song: Hey let's!! Do an Amy cover of this!!!

You're not wrong but I was barely a cover artist to begin with, she deserves it from someone who actually enjoys making Vocaloid covers dkjdjsdnjs
So while i was singing along with Monster the other day, I melodramatically pointed at a cabinet and I swear the very next second a bunch of plates started falling out of the cabinet. I am now terrified of singing Echo in case I actually burn my house down :teto_lili:
Mmmm wish I knew which song would be a good one for me to cover if I did decide to try sing myself... I feel like I should talk to a voice teacher but Idk
