  • I didn’t realize that a game I was playing only had a fan translation for 2/3 of the story. Running the story through Google translate and Apple translate gives an ok approximate of the story I think. Really annoying.
Ugh I really wish I had VY2 V3 instead of V5 right now. Maybe if I had the V6 editor it’d be easily, but I forgot how much of a pain V5 editor is. :/
Does anyone have the phonetic charts for vocaloid? Vocaloid fandom seems to be inaccessible.

This zip file included Vocaloid phonetic chart and hidden phonetic chart, both are PDF format.
I might as well upload it on resource how to use vocaloid.

There is also the wikia phonetics:

    Misc Phonetics:

(These are phonemes that add additional effects to your notes)

And there is also V4 User manual where they gave the phonetics list at page 160 onward to all languages (And even Bopomofo, that I don't know what it is)

Oh the wiki is back up. Nice to know, thanks!
Wait, if Yamaha can make the Zola boys V6 vbs based off of their V3 vbs, then could they make VY1 and VY2 V6 vbs based off of their prior vbs?

So Imsupposedto was curious if it was possible to train an ai on raw vocaloid recordings. Apparently vy2v3 was programmed in a way where his samples were more intact. Keep in mind this completely unofficial and uses a voice changer not vocaloid 6 ai. It was made to see if it was even possible and what it could possibly sound like.

This shows that this method is possible. It makes me wonder why they didn't do this to all legacy banks so that v6 ai has a bigger vocal library to choose from. This method is good at retaining the original sound of voice bank. It seems perfect for vbs like yuki where their voice providers voice has changed.
This whole twitter x thing has pushed me to delete my account. I’m leaving it up until the 31st, but it’ll be strange not having it anymore. I’ve had that account since December of 2012.

I actually felt that too, but then I realized that only on twitter I can find updates and news about Vocaloid (concerts, goods, etc..). Some companies post some updates also on LINE or instagram, but most of them are still on twitter.. mm..
I miss good old twitter of some years ago, it was so simple, fast and good. Now it is indeed in the wrong direction, the worst direction, and with all advertisement revenue going down, it can't survive long as it is. the whole twitter x thing just made the thing 1000 times worse.
there is the possibility that in a period of 6 months-1 year, things will be so bad (and they will be) for the company that some other company will buy twitter, for a fraction of what was bought. for example, now its market value is less than 13 billions and it has over 10 billions in debt. yes, it's that bad.
do you remember some days ago there was that strange limit of how many tweets you could see/day? that was because the company didn't have more money to pay google cloud services. they are already near bankruptcy.
I can see Microsoft, Softbank or Yahoo/Verizon or maybe even Meta buying twitter soon and make it back like it was some time ago.
I still won't delete my account (like yours it was made around 2012), but I already deleted the app from my phone and I use only from browser only for checking news/updates of official accounts, like 1 minute every day. and of course adblock always enabled, so they can't get any revenue from me. i'm actually using their server bills, so it feels good hehe

Honestly, I really feel for folks who see/experience Twitter in a more positive way than I do--no matter what, it sucks to lose something you care about. But my impression, based on the comments from the various people who've taken a break from/left the fandom over the years, is that Twitter has a seemingly disproportionate ability to accumulate and spread misery. To my recollection, almost everyone who's gone on hiatus/left, and many others who've commented on triggering experiences/drama, has done so with some reference to the negative experiences they've had on Twitter, sometimes among other places. So personally, if Twitter closed down, I think it might ultimately be a healthy thing.

At the same time, Twitter's just a platform. It's how people use it that makes it good or bad, although the nature of the platform probably encourages certain kinds of use. Which might/might not contribute to why people have bad experiences there.

Regarding Twitter/X, the idea of a super platform where people can do pretty much anything is an interesting idea. But once you've seen the movie The Circle, that kind of thing probably makes you hesitate a little.

Though with the financial issues plaguing Twitter and its ownership, whether any of those things will happen seems somewhat questionable. Though they did manage to make some serious strides with SpaceX, so....

The twitter experience has been ok for me overall, but over the years I’ve become ok with not being popular and only getting a few likes on things. If in the next week it turns back into twitter I might consider removing all tweets and leaving my account alone for now, but I don’t want to support the change to x. It is definitely really hard for me to get rid of my account since I’ve had it so long. It does almost feel like I’ll be losing the only way I can prove that I’ve been around as long as I say I have since I don’t have any posts on youtube. Guess I can unprivate some of my bad SoundCloud posts. lol
Sora is supposed to be 17? Here I was thinking that she was in her 30s for some reason.
After charging it most of the day, my computer’s battery is at 99% while the keyboard is at 11%. Just a few more hours tomorrow and I’ll be able to use it.
I just heard that Akiglancy is going to be doing a Vocaloid concert at Tiger Con in September. I really really hope that no one harasses her.(also a friend might be going and I wouldn’t want her to experience that)
Native Instruments is finally absorbing iZotope. They’ve been owned by the same company since 2021 and I’ve been getting really confused because I thought they were the same company, but I had different logins. Now you’ll just have one login for all of them. Brainworx and Plugin Alliance are also included as well.
    Source with some history.
I’m surprised I haven’t seen another one of these before. Lagtrain x Kyoufuu All Back mashup.
Tfw you wake up to Fly Me to the Moon on the accordion playing and think it’s coming out of someone’s car, but it turns out to be some guy playing an accordion in the parking lot.

Hey if you are affected at all by the wildfire smoke you might want to wear an n95 or kn95 mask. There are some nasty toxins in the smoke due to what’s burning and inhaling any of the smoke can set you up for stuff like sinus infections and lung inflammation. (I personally picked up some 3M aura n95s, they’re less claustrophobic than regular n95s for me.)
Uh, did something happen with AkiGlancy on twitter? I’m a bit confused rn, think I missed something major that happened.

It’s all textbook kickstarter financial mismanagement. She didn’t factor in tax when they chose the kickstarter goal values, underbudgeted for merchandising plans (backer rewards are now widely known to be the most costly component of Kickstarter campaigns) and did apparently not budget the artists fees at all before planning the campaign.

Bad financial management yes, did not fulfill all of the promises yes, but probably not embezzlement. For whatever that’s all worth. The concerts DID play live and for multiple years which seems like a miracle.

Can’t speak to everything else. With regard to this specific situation though I’m personally glad the era of bad Kickstarters is over. Seemed like 2015-2016 ish was the golden age of these.

It was.... Something (also LOL at that one person who crushed Aki like they were the only evil of the community while themselves are far from being a saint -no need to give hint I think some may know whom I refer to)

Also it's ok IO, I often see people talking so much about vocatwitt drama here so don't worry, you just wanted to understand, it's normal (on my side I was heavily disappointed though I was already a bit disappointed back after the VOCAMERICA drama)
Has anyone ever put utau or openutau on a Chromebook? Asking for a friend of a friend.

The YouTube tutorial IO found is good, covers everything concisely.

Linux can be scary for some at first because the terminal has a high information density and you do kind of need to remember the commands to work quickly. But over time they just stick in your head. After a little bit of practice it usually becomes easier to use in a lot of ways than Windows and MacOS. As long as they follow the instructions it should be all good!
