I guess, between that and Project Sekai, they're positioning themselves as a "virtual idol industry" company? It makes sense, given their background with Magical Mirai and work on music videos like Lucky Orb. It might be cool to see full collaborations between Crypton characters and Hololive for songs, given how many vocaloid producers are involved with Hololive now.

Yeah, agreed. I don't personally find myself wishing for "vtuber miku" but I don't think that's their angle. They're already embedded in this industry, so it's a natural progression for them to be paid to do this kind of work, really. I just didn't personally realize Crypton had a team of CG artists and technical supervisors, but the CG really does look great in that video. I think that's probably a more interesting detail than the fact that this is a Hololive video. I guess it would make sense for Miku concerts and etc to be produced in-house, but I always assumed Crypton was a management/music plugin company and the visuals were being handled elsewhere. I was wrong... probably.

I thought the CapSule video (Mori Calliope and Suisei) looked a bit off, and it was also uncredited. So it's cool to see credited contracted artists doing work on what is probably a relatively high-budget project. I always get excited when MVs are good and then I end up becoming a big fan of the people that make them.

Yeah. IIRC they do a lot of the mocap and choreography for their live events (though Sega is also involved on some level) and also have patents related to projection and recording equipment for them as well. I first noticed it with the Lucky Orb video on their official channel awhile back. It has a ton of credits in the description, and the visuals are excellent. I don't know if they've done any other major 3D videos for songs, but I'm very curious.

Lucky Orb truly is super super visually impressive, that's awesome it was created in-house as well. I'm going to have to look into the projection technology patents at some point-- I'm consistently impressed with what Crypton does behind the scenes and it's always a bummer that we really aren't privy to much information.
