    i have been really bad at drawing humanoids so these vocaloid requests are kinda just warm ups to practice- not just humans but also coming up with poses that are just *stands at 3/4 angle with hand on hip* over and over again

    oh why have i never really looked at cul's debut design........i cant say im a fan of the outfit in her final one (or maybe its more so just the art) but i quite like the colors and simplicity of the debut. i get the vibe of the final one but i never vibed with it much tbh

    It's weird because I would have assumed her debut design was for an expansion. The art style looks more polished. I wonder why her design was changed so drastically.

    @Ronny777 yes i also really prefer the art style in general on it... the line work and choice of color just flow a bit nicer. maybe i wouldve liked the final design a little more if it was a different artist? idk! but the final art and design....just not my fave

    hey guys its late but um. taking Vocaloid art requests!!! ONLY FIRST FOUR SUGGESTED!! i wanna practice some vocaloids. i draw flower a lot, so i wont take her as a request lol. would love to see some lesser loved loids but anyone not-flower, tell me :^)

    its late so i may not get to them at the very moment but i want a few loids to consider for warm up doodles! hand em over!! remember, first requests four only! i may return later for more once theyre done

    @peaches2217 that reminded me i did do an english/japanese cover of Romeo & Juliet that had flower sing in both english and japanese... that was very long ago but maybe ill do a different song in that series tbh because i love it...

    ive definitely been considering selling some of my vocaloids.... i have sooo many and i really got em when i was high on making vocaloid covers all the time and i dont do it as much. its still a hobby but not one i can expect to spend too much more money on, it terms of getting new voices. Downside is a lot of them are digital and I kinda wonder if its worth selling them? idk how many people seek out digital codes. heres a list of everything i have:

    i think i'd end up wanting to sell (regardless of digital or not) Yuezheng Longya, Kaai Yuki V2 (so i can get V4), Daina, Oliver, Cyber Songman, VY1 v4, and Fukase. i know Fukase physical is very desirable and i like...never use him! ever! and i have no reason to keep him due to his dumb terms of use/liscense. im not super ready to sell any of these but if anyone happens to see this and wants me to contact them when i do, hmu! im also just curious how much digitals would sell.

    god i cant be the only one who really hates how you update vocaloid5... i normally skip updates bc it takes so long to download and of course this new one has an important fix i need rn. but i barely ever install the updates for the base 4 banks bc im so sick of having to wait 40 mins for the massive file to download in the first place!

    oh noooo Police Piccadilly made a song with kafu....theres no way i can hate it lmao.. she still had that weird. idk, quality/muddy sound on some vowels. anyways i pitched it down too: pitched - 不埒な喝采 ポリスピカデリー feat KAFU Police Piccadilly

    but you can still really notice that weirdness with her vowels :/ i know some ppl say vocaloids sound like they have cotton balls in their mouth and i gotta say kafu sounds like the most cottonball-stuffed voice i have ever heard lol

    Police Piccadilly is amazing and this is great usage of Kafu! But I've been noticing people have been mistaking good tuning for...the vb being good and when her weird qualities are seeping through even in the hands of a tuning god and when the closest thing to "out of editor" example we got was a pitchy muffled mess I.....remian skeptical...

    Honestly as bad as what he did was, even T*ra's usage is prolly better representation of what Kafu sounds like in average Joe's hands:/

    I really like this, honestly! But I think Patuk said it best: good tuning does not a good VB make. I think this proves that she's workable, but little more.

    Damn, I just... after everything I've learned, I just feel so bad for Kaf. She deserves better than this.

    @peaches2217 @patuk this is definitely true! ive heard some dang good tuning of her voice and it makes me *want* the voice, almost. but those qualities that are just how the voicebank are, like the muffledness, just remind me the tuning doesnt/cant fix those issues sadly. even with the chipmunk-y sound, id probably still want to buy her if those other sound/quality issues werent present, its a shame.

    the thing thats kinda getting me about Yukari Rei is like, it does not come off to me like all the other AI banks i have heard? and while i dont mind the "flatness" as a person who likes manual tuning, im confused where that AI tech even comes in handy. she just sounds like a flat vocaloid. but some AI stuff ive heard kinda...gives some human-like flucuations/tone/etc to the voice and i basically hear none of that in Rei. ive heard some nicely tuned covers with her already buuut it seems to purely be due to the person's tuning with pitch bends/etc. nothing about the voice stands out to me as an "AI" voice and i just find it odd.

    @patuk yeah its weird because as much as i dislike kafu for obviosu reasons, she at least...sounds like she takes advantage of what people think of when they hear AI voices right now? its not surprising for demos to have minimal tuning, on purpose or not, but it seemed the bigger point of AI with this now was that they would sound "tuned" more than ever. Rei sounds so flat, and its you gotta put the same effort into tuning her Rei bank as her vocaloid banks, id just get her vocaloid banks as they dont have they signature Cevio fuzziness.

    even more annoying about the flatness and what seems like the lack of advantage being used with AI tech in Cevio AI is like, it seems they have said/shown this AI stuff is far more powerful and in doing so had to "lower" the render quality of banks (i beleive they said this of IA based on that very clear demo). and what even if the point of using this far more powerful option, having a low quality render, and it doesnt even sound that different than the other older option??? it just reads as pointless to me. and it makes me worried Flower could have a similar fate, tho that is up in the air as im unsure if Yukari came out the way she did due to AH's directions or Cevio's team.

    and the idea of Rei only taking use of sampling instead of the whole "AI" package feels like even more of a reason why its not good that their engine is named after AI..... idk if theres proof this is the case but lets just say theoretically, that would make it all very confusing if not all their banks used that tech when theyre all being labelled "cevio AI" voices. i doubt there will ever be proper confirmation on the difference in Rei's bank versus like, Kafu, even tho they seem to sound very different. so its hard to say if Rei just wasn't made to ultilize Cevio's AI tech.... regardless, she certainly doesnt sound like it.

    Now I am only speculating as I do not have Cevio AI and depending on H and ONE I'm unsure abt getting a vb just yet but going off of this video that was shared in the Cevio thread:

    Hm, if the tuning were done manually then it certainly doesn't appear to be made by the same person, each vb has different looking pit which leads me to believe Cevio AI does appear to have self-tuning ability? The Cevio Kiritan part is really akin to how Neutrino tunes her from my experience...so going off of that assumption...I've noticed Yukari's pit is more basic and bare bones than Kiritan and Sasara's...which would explain the flatness...as it stands Yukari is prolly the worst Cevio AI bank we have so far.

    Ah and AHS wasn't involved in Rei, eh she prolly came out like this due to Vocalomakets' direction, since they had her vp replicate her vocaloid vb as much as possible.

    ill be honest to me, all that PIT tuning looks pretty similar to me? even if it was tuned by someone why hand, its hard to say how one would slightly alter their tuning to fit those other voices, and it strikes me as that too. since it is *just* pitch bends it is hard to tell versus someone like, tuning on vocaloid and going note bending or something.
    regardless the self-tuning (pitch bend generating) tools in things like Cevio AI and Synth V arent what im regarding most imo, rather the way the bank sounds by default-- it strikes me as not attempting to capture the most realistic, human-like sound of the provider, and additionally not having the AI work to produce a more varied sound. though this was explained directly by Vocalomarket stating the vp recorded similarly to her vocaloid bank, which is still dissapointing to here as it seems to be the major cause for Rei to sound like this. as ive used banks like Saki, she has a pretty nice "base" to work off of without any editting which stands out to me compared to Rei, who is far more flat. the AI stuff really seems to lean on not being flat, even with minimal tuning, which is Rei sounds so odd to me in comparison

    also yes youre right, i forgot AHS wasnt involved with her cevio stuff!
