Next month is the three-year anniversary of my first published, completed cover, so I'm thinking about making two covers in celebration: a remake of that first cover (in which I tried making Oliver sing in Japanese when I still didn't know how to edit phonemes... yes, it's bad), as well as a full version of the first song I
ever made in Vocaloid, sitting in a coffee shop with my hilariously weak laptop and my brand new V4 trial.
(I recorded this in the parking lot of said coffee shop on my phone because the shop closed, I got kicked out, and I didn't know how to get screen recording software. Ah, what an artifact...)
I think it'd be fun to publish the above video... and then have it transition into a full cover of the song (which isn't very long and just repeats the above section again), with Miku singing the main part and the other five Cryptonloids providing the backups and harmonies. (I'm a
slut for harmonies, so figuring out a way to make a soprano, a mezzo-soprano, an alto, a countertenor, and a baritone sing
what was originally made for an all-male quartet is gonna be
so much fun.)
Being a fairly short song, it shouldn't take too long, so I'd like to finish it first and then work to remake my first YouTube cover. I lost the VSQx a few months after making it, and since Oliver sings all of the verses, in Japanese... that'll take a while to recreate. And to do, y'know,
well.
i even got the BBC Symphony VST from them for FREE because they had a thing going on if you just answered a survey, you could possibly get it free, and i did! so they have some good deals.
