I haven't given y'all an update on Peter and Lucy recently. Lemme rectify that.
Lucy, my shy little girl who was scared to death of everything but Peter? She's blossomed into a bold lover who greets me at the door, curls up with me every morning, and screams at me for my food. She's sitting on my chest right now, butthole strategically placed on the back of my hand, purring a purr far too loud to be packed into that tiny body.
Peter's become restless. He only likes two toys, his feather wand and the laser pointer, but even that's not enough to satisfy him sometimes; he just meows at me, wanting to play more but refusing to play with anything else, and he'll often just sit in the window and survey or longingly stare at the door. He's still quite young, and he was just neutered about two weeks before I adopted him, so it might take a few months for him to calm down. That said, he LOVES being brushed. The SECOND the bristles touch his back, he flops like a deadweight onto his side and purrs until I stop. I just need to figure out how to keep him properly entertained and he'll be living his best life!
I got them a cat tree that was also quite a bit taller than I was expecting... halfway through assembly, I was like "Is... is this gonna fit in the living room?" It does, thankfully, barely, and they adore it. Overall, things are going well! I'll just need to continue working hard to make them truly feel at home.
Either way, good luck searching for a new song for Rikka~!
