    Man, I'm freaking depressed. I wake up to a reminder that everyone hates Crypton and all who actually like them and Miku NT are idiots who would do well to dispose of themselves (fair, Miku NT's been a mess, but still), I get cussed out at work (twice), and then I get a notification that Maki's been delivered... to Tulsa, who will hold her over the weekend and then ship her out Monday or Tuesday, meaning I might get her by the end of the month.

    I missed a day of my meds because I had to ration them while waiting for my doctor to approve another refill, so I know I'm taking it all far too personally. But I'm just bummed.

    Alright, let’s do this! :sweetann_ani_lili: My depression is a lying bitch! No one that’s actually important thinks less of me for liking an over-flawed software, Maki will get here soon enough and I’ve got plenty of stuff to work on until she’s here, and in spite of bad customers at work, I’m still surrounded by managers and coworkers who have my best interest at heart. A bad day can’t keep me down! I’m gonna get right back up and keep moving forward, one foot after the other, because I’m a boss-ass bitch, and I will prevail!

    …gotta say, I’ve never been fond of faking it until I make it, but that felt really nice to type. 😮‍💨

    Holy crap. I started using Luka English last night, and I came back to it just now... and I don't hate it. I think it sounds pretty nice! My only issues with it are that she sounds a little congested, but that's nothing I can't fix with a few plugins.

    In other news, Maki reached the US today! They're estimating she'll reach me no earlier than the 28th, but I dished out extra for DHL, so I sincerely hope it's sooner...

    I've reeeeeally gotta get that Fukase cover finished. I think that'll be my goal for tonight: at least get the final sung part done, and then try to knock out the last talkloid section in the coming day or two. Then we'll try to figure out the tuning.

    Just gotta get SOMETHING done. I can't keep sitting around doing nothing. Too worthless. Gotta be less worthless.

    hhhhhh... y'all are right, thank you. I'm just really annoyed. Lately I've been so unrelentingly exhausted, and I just wanna enjoy the things I love again. Thankfully I'm getting into a groove with this cover again! I'll definitely finish what I wanna finish tonight, and then I'll go from there.

    At work today, I was confronted with a difficult question, one I didn’t think I’d ever be faced with answering.

    A young child was telling me all about fish and sharks while I worked on his mother’s order. “What’s your favorite fish?” he finally asked, a bright gleam in his eye. Thanks to @cafenurse, I told him my favorite was the lionfish. But as cool as they are, I didn’t have a favorite. So as soon as I got some down time, I started digging into Google. What was my favorite fish? What fish are there besides goldfish, lionfish, and the fish in Finding Nemo and Spongebob? I have so much to learn.

    I’ve since decided my favorite fish is the Giant Grouper. Lookit this heckin’ chonker.

    I finally found the energy to put up the posters I printed the other day! It's finally starting to look like someone lives here. I'm quite happy~

    To help me deal with my When Will Tenso Finish Registering My Packages anxiety, I've finally found a good song to use Rikka in! It really highlights her soft, almost sultry lows. The only issue will be getting her vocals to cut through the instrumental... I'll run a mixing test after work, and if it goes well I'll post a snippet to share here.

    The OG is a duet, but a semi-popular cover of it turned it into a solo, so I'm also debating whether to throw Maki in there or not. The thing is, Renraku Madaa pushed Maki's lows; this song absolutely slaughters them. So if I get her involved I'd have to find a balance between making her audible and making her, well, palatable.

    Athena was a name I'd originally considered for Lucy, and while it couldn't outshine my love for her current name, I still found it fitting; she's my brave little goddess, after all! So "Lucy Athena (My Last Name)", I've decided, shall be her full name.

    It occurred to me while filling out a New Client form for their upcoming vet visit that Peter didn't have a middle name yet. I figured I'd stick with the theme I chose for Lucy: the name of a Greek god whose profession is fitting for my sweet boy. The problem: Peter's about as generic a cat as they come. He's affectionate, but seeks that affection on his own terms. He sleeps a lot and likes to play with the red dot. He has moments of cleverness, but all together he's not the sharpest claw in the sheath. He's wonderful and I love him so much, but dammit, he's a cat, and I can't assign much more personality to him than that.

    So after agonizing over it for the past two hours, I decided that, as he's named in part after a character from a farming sim, maybe an agricultural deity's name would suit him. That would at least save me the trouble of trying to assign a trait to him that he doesn't have and being dishonest to his existence.

    I worry "Peter Triptolemus (My Last Name)" might be a bit of a mouthful, but the moment I said it all together I fell in love, so Triptolemus it is!

    Having gone a little crazy with printing Afremov pieces and foam mounting them to hang them in my living room and dining room, I decided to take a step back, tone it down... and print some vocalsynth posters for my room. I'm starting with three Piapro Characters posters and a large printout of that one fanart my favorite OliLen artist did in honor of one of my covers!
