God, I feel that. My mother's a hoarder and I've inherited many of her tendencies. I need to do a good cleaning of my apartment because I keep bringing junk in...

Ughhh I relate! I definitely have hoarding tendencies, especially when things were gifts. I feel like it's rude to get rid of gifts so I never do and then all this stuff I haven't touched in years just piles up. I remember a friend once was like "wow almost everything in your room was a gift you must be really spoiled" no I just NEVER GET RID OF THEM some of them are from like 10+ years ago :yohioloid_lili:

it doesn't even have to be gifts from people that mean a lot to me lol like today i found an old teddy bear in the back of my closet and i was like "oh the lady who hit me with her car gave me this as an im sorry gift! better pack it" adghahdjdsk I havent seen that lady in like 5 years the only time ive ever seen her is when she hit me with her car
shoutout to whoever posted about that vtuber taco bell ad here for letting me know nacho fries are back, i am now eating nacho fries and i am very content
my favorite genre of music is when at the end of the song they repeat the chorus over and over but it devolves into screaming (serj tankian's empty walls, local h's bound to the floor, the killers' somebody told me, blue october's dirt room kinda does this)
anyway pls share any songs you know like this i would love to find more ~
marina released merch and i really want some but i dont want to spend money til i move but what if it sells out :arsloid_ani_lili: the dilemma
yesterday i was itchy and thought i was breaking out into hives, today i woke up and i have multiple large, bright red swollen lumps that itch like crazy :')
got it looked at and apparently they're spider bites. i was, somehow, at some point in time, bit by a spider(s) 6 times
me, a massive arachnophobe, is horrified
i definitely feel like i've gotten a little more in the groove of making music. it's still not a speedy process to get to the final product, but i'm creating rough drafts (or i guess theyre called demos in music, but i like the term rough draft more haha) much faster.
my dream job in life was to be a trucker, but unfortunately i got hit by a car some years ago and now i cant drive because i just have panic attacks all the time so my dream was CRUSHED, but American truck simulator was on sale so i bought it and it is filling that void in my life

i really want to get my license not to drive because i constantly cry every time i drive, but so my family will stop making very judgmental comments about how i cant drive. but considering i cant drive without crying i dont think i will ever pass the test ahskskldld

Maybe playing the truck simulator will help? I’ve heard of people doing similar things after traumatic experiences.
ive now been on my second medication for a month and im feeling discouraged. my shoulder acne is back with a vengeance, ive gotten a few new pimples including a cystic one, and the acne scarring on my cheeks is still SO prevalent, i feel like it's gotten worse but that might be just 'cause im so emotional about this stuff lol. looking at photos from before meds i cant deny that my skin has cleared up an insane amount, but like, i just wish it would be fully cured. the scarring on my cheeks is so severe, my dermatologist very bluntly was like "oh yeah thats so bad" ahsksnhd. having severe acne just sucks so hard, im so self conscious and emotional about it. cry cry cry
but as emotional and dramatic as i am about it, i have been looking at old photos from before getting treated and the improvement is so significant and it has brought a lot of joy back to my life to have clearer skin. mayhaps ill share some b4 and after photos lol, but photos of me without makeup + a filter are basically non existent :clara_ani_lili:

The more consistently longer you're on it, the more improvement you're gonna see; if you're seeing noticeably clearer skin after only a month, imagine how you'll look and feel after a few months! As with any product, unfortunately, it just takes time to see super dramatic results. But I'm happy it's helping so far!

    thanks for the support peaches ;w;
technically this is my 4th month of treatment but my 1st month on these new pills, that are supposed to be stronger than the other pills i took, i guess im feeling discouraged because the other ones worked much faster than these, but i should just calm down and give these ones time. i just wish it was as magic as taking one pill and never seeing a zit in my life again :clara_ani_lili:
my friend is like, an actual musician who can play instruments and stuff, so i asked him to collab with me on a song, and its going "super well"
him: well you have to make sure everything is in the same time signature
    me: that sounds like math
    him: it is math
me: dont you dare bring math into this
him: music theory is essentially math
me: i cant believe youve done this

People don't like to hear it, but yes: music is fundamentally mathematics. The twelve notes from A to G are actually a compromise, because to get perfectly even divisions between pitches would require more notes/keys/strings than a human can physically play on an instrument. So they had to calculate the optimal way to divide the pitches between the twelve notes.

Sound waves themselves are defined mathematically. The time signature, tempo/bpm, dynamics, and portamento help define the interval, frequency, amplitude, and the transitions between waves.

went to my 6th national park today hoorah!

@peaches2217: The scenery is really the heart of a national park, IMO, at least in terms of the things you find in the park itself. The second biggest attraction, I'd think, would be the rangers. I'd think there are rangers at every park, and especially at the larger ones, there are probably generally ranger-led tours to tell you something about particular notable features of the park. Those are probably the main attractions, though there may be a visitor center(s), one or two places to eat, and maybe a lodge to stay in, if you don't want to camp.

Outside of those things, though, I think the same thing is true as is true in many other situations: you find what you bring in with you. Which is to say, they may not be the best places to find entertainment, but if you come in with a certain willingness to/capacity for appreciating nature and the various animals and views you'll find, the parks are a great place to exercise it.

That sounds really nice~ I would hella go for the views and scenery alone, but I was never sure if there was more than that or not. I know nothing of the outside world, what can I say? :clara_ani_lili:

The humidity here has been a little icky, but nothing too bad :) Where I normally live there's 0 humidity so even the tiniest bit of humidity bothers me though ahsjs

My favorite thing about national parks is when you get to see animals!!! The second time I went to Grand Canyon I saw an entire herd of Elk and when I went to Zion I saw a bighorn sheep!! When I went to cuyahoga valley we asked a ranger where we could see otters but we went there and never saw them, it turns out otters are early birds and I am not good at getting up early ajsjdjf. But we did see a beaver! And lots of muskrats. Muskrats have such an ugly name but they're so cute?? We heard squeaking coming from behind a bush so we peeked over it and saw a cute lil' muskrat chillin.
I like national parks because the only form of exercise I like is hiking, and I'm a huge nature enthusiast. My favorite kind of nature is desert and lucky for me a lot of national parks are out west in the desert lol. So when I go there, I mostly just hike all day! I don't really talk to the park rangers much because talking to strangers is not my forte :rikka_lili: :koharurikka_lili:
However, even if you don't like to talk to people, if you're into learning a lot of parks have museum exhibits in the visitor center and lots of informational plaques around the park!! I love learning (im a big nerd) so I always read up on all the ones I see :) I remember Bryce Canyon had a really fun little museum exhibit.

Certain national parks just have different activities too. Like the one I just went to was Indiana Dunes which has beaches so I could go swimming! It's also a good place for bird watching.
The canyons are all good for stargazing, but I've never been there overnight so I've yet to see it myself.
Cuyahoga Valley is good for canoeing...or kayaking? Or maybe both? I am not a boat person
And ofc if you go in the winter there will be snow related activities that are opened up to you, but I hate snow, so I think winter is when I will take a break from my park excursions LOL

So if you're only interested in visiting one or two for the fun of it, I'd research them and see what activities they offer and what fits you!! I'm basically only into hiking so like they all work for me :clara_ani_lili: I think the one I'd recommend most is Bryce Canyon because it was very beautiful and the shuttle system was so nice and easy to use, and it's a kind of park where if you're only there for a day you can see mostly everything. I think I'd least recommend Zion because even though it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, I think everyone thinks that, and so it is so overcrowded. So so so overcrowded.
If you don't like crowds, look up National Parks that don't have an entrance fee. Those ones are the parks usually less traveled and therefore when you go you won't be dealing with so many other people. I had a lot of peaceful walks at Indiana and Cuyahoga, whereas at Zion on my hike I had to step to the side to let someone pass like every three minutes ahsjsks

this got so long ajsksk sorry!!
