It's been a while since I last installed V4, but does it give you the option to do a custom/advanced install? If so, you should be able to choose a directory and I'm fairly sure that should include an external drive!
Also, iirc, @peaches2217 don't you have your Vocaloids installed to an external drive?

The voicebanks yes, but the editors both take you straight from agreeing to the TOS to the Install screen, with no option for customization. It's frustrating, although I suppose if my goal was saving space, V4E and V5E being the only things installed on my C drive isn't that bad, and the rest can just go on the external 😕

ngl if legit banks worked in Pocaloid I'd just pirate V4 and V5, because I hear those ones do let you change directory. But it's not worth it to go learn how Pocaloiding works for literally everything non-V1 that I own, for the sake of two editors

Id imagine having the editors on external drive would cauze weird activation and installation problems? Peachy stored some stuff on external drive and it cauzed her problems iirc, with how sensitive Vocaloid is about this type of stuff I wouldnt really recommend it.
