I think if the company themselves put out a character’s story, then it may as well be canonical. You can choose to ignore it, BUT, its still there. I know I’m not the first person to say it, but this really WILL be the voicebank to make even more of a divide between the west and east sides of the fandom

Even if they made it non-canonical...it wouldn't take way from the fact her company did in fact make up that backstory and lore and the implications still would be there
