Vocaloid fans will get super angry if someone who doesn't call themselves a fan makes a joke about Miku but then participate in trends around other franchises all the time, like Yakuza and it makes me laugh every time. This...is kind of a consequence of living in an interconnected world and using social media. People who never would know about Vocaloid hear about it through osmosis, just like we do with other things. I mean Vocaloid culture as we know it started on the internet! Why is there so much worry over people being fake fans
Interesting observations on V3's pose, colors, and proportions. I hadn't previously taken the time to look at Project Sekai Kaito's design before.
On first glance Kaito has this really "cool" look to him. But that impression is soon overwhelmed by his absolute teddy bear inner nature.
It's funny how much of each of their voice provider's personality comes through for the CFM characters now. I think it's unintentional and subliminal, but has just gotten amplified over a long period of time. I think: the desired voice type > voice actor/provider selection process > character design > fan interpretation > video game depictions > interviews/behind-the-scenes media > influences further fan depictions > influences further game depictions > etc. It all just forms this slow feedback loop that has shaped the characters despite no conscious attempt to create a canonical form of them.
