Batch Re-save can actually speed up loading file, but only limited sense.
There are certain old library (or very old one) and older patches do benefits from batch re-saving, due to how kontakt work, this is fairly limited though, so i don't personally think it's worth time to go and batch re-save dozen of old library. As long as you use batch re-save carefully, it doesn't hurt or worth it sometime, depend on how frequently you load that old library.
Be careful about using the automated search functions though, it cause disaster sometime.
