its often the lyric entering and basic note edits that lead me to crash in synth v :/ which is annoying because its the most basic thing to do in the software and i run into not issues with vocaloid. i do think synth v has some good doing for it in terms of voice banks advancements but its quite behind in terms of focusing on just being stable. of course vocaloid has many years on it in terms of being refined and fixed by a higher budget developer team, but im surprised i havent seen more complaints for synth v

Hmm... I honestly can't relate. The last time SynthV crashed for me was about 8 to 10 months ago. That was when I discovered it didn't play well with other audio programs left running in the background. Specifically my DAW and/or notation software, both of which use ASIO. One might consider this a problem with ASIO, but other non-ASIO audio programs coexist peacefully with my DAW and/or notation software. (Besides, regular Windows audio goes to my USB headset, and ASIO goes to my studio headset.) So the problem was with SynthV, but it was easily remedied.

yeah i simply use the standalone editor so i def havent had conflict with other software being open, and ive had it crash numerous times when changing the length of a note, editing a node, or now trying to render auto tuning. its been inconssitent, but i also havent used synth v enough to say its like, horribly common either- but every time i have used it i tend to have at least one session just riddled with crashes. @parallax_fifths . out of all synth program i probably use synth v 20% of the time versus others like vocaloid so it wasnt until recent, and tbh i think i have simply had more crashes w the more recent versions and not the older ones. the last version i had some specific crashes that are now gone- the new one brought me some more unique ones lol..

Honestly, it crashes damn-near every time I use it, for more than simple note and lyric input (and even then it'll crash from time to time), and all I ever have running in the background will be a few Chrome tabs and Messenger. It's like it randomly selects who it'll work well for and who it won't.

I've only ever used the standalone editor.

Perhaps the editor uses some CPU instructions that aren't well supported in earlier CPUs? I know that SIMD stuff changes frequently.

I had some issues with the latest update of Synth V as well. It kept freezing and not acting right when I would import a MIDI or a file I made with Guitar Pro. I would have to import, save, then close/reopen Synth V (on top of the lyrics being slid over by one word). Ug, so annoying and legitimately painful.
