I'm not sure what's exactly you're looking for. Do you want the list of software/hardware in that time frame to create a song or sound? Can you narrow down scope a bit more? like, what genre you looking for, what's type of sample? (drums kits, fx, loops, sample player, or hardware sequencer), what's type of synths? (hardware, software, digital, analog, VA, vocoder)

Sorry if that was too vague. I should give some examples. What I mean is how would I go about recreating this particular sound like instruments and mixing tools of that was popular in that community at that time.
