Finally a free weekend and I've felt like tuning a little bit in Cevio. I'm so happy I gave the Cevio a chance, tuning Airi in Cs7 is so fun

The biggest lie I ever told myself is "ah, don't worry. You can still buy it later." Is it often a better decision in the moment? Yes. But I'm suffering everyday seeing the ridiculous prices for games and voicebanks that I told myself to get later. Never again, if I have the money I will buy it. Ughhhh. DS and 3DS games should not go for 100+€, especially not if it's only the fricking packaging WITHOUT THE GAME. How can something be so rare. Man.
Have been playing RF5 a lot these days and idk how to feel about this game. The story pacing is so... weird. Everything feels extremely fast and quick, just like the first part of RF2 which was supposed to be quick so you could start the "real game". But romancing and befriending feels more difficult than any of the other games. There have been many moments so far that made me go "OH! so that's what they planned". This game really needed like 2 or 3 more years to truly shine. Hmm. Still enjoying it but you know..

The struggle when you really like a voice but dislike the design and character... Karin has such a nice voice, for some reason she gives me 2000's anime vibes but idk, I think I wouldn't like drawing her at all
getting kinda tired of waiting for Cangqiong AI, so I'm thinking of buying another vocal (even tho she was quite expensive, orz..). Maybe Solaria? Maybe Karin? Maybe this is a stupid idea? lol
I wish I had free time, I really want to take the Ci Flower design and change it up to make it look more like flower. Nothing drastic, just enough. That seems like a nice challenge

soo.. I put Chis-A into random song I thought would suit her. I didn't do anything to it, no edits no tuning no nothing. It's just the plain notes.
Decided to go with her 1.0.0 voice, kinda like it the best even if the differences are subtle.
Then I chose to just render her with all 3 freeze/export types... and the result is.. interesting??

The first one is her with the default, the second is her with 1.0.0 freeze and the third is her with 1.1.0 freeze.
I like the sound of the 1.0.0 freeze the best but for some reason it suddenly gets super raspy and growly in the high notes????? But other than that it sounds the cleanest. The default one is fine. I do not like the 1.1.0 one, she somehow sounds wet? as if her mouth is full of saliva and her throat slimy. Kinda icky.

The longer I listen to the new Cevio voice, the more I think it's actually Flower. I have seen people say "yeah well but the icon doesn't show Flower". Yeah, but that can be a placeholder especially because the image looks like the Techno Speech mascot. Also, I haven't forgotten Gynoid talking about Flower's voice actor suddenly sounding like Flower naturally when they recorded her talk bank, while Flower's Vocaloid banks were voiceacted. So, Cevio Flower could just be what Flower sounds like if she's not voiceacted which resulted in this way less raspy and muffled and instead smoother sound.

So you know... the connection is definitely there. But either way, I'm probably gonna buy this voice even if it turns out as someone else because I LOVE THIS VOICE.
I'm so sad... there is a still affordably priced auction for Rune Factory 3 on ebay currently going on but the seller only ships to US and Canada god dammit I really want RF3 but it's so damn rare nowadays, the only copy available in my country is listed for 150€...... and all the other ones I can find are either from Japan or even more expensive American ones, I hate this so much

I can very happily announce that Mayu and Airi sound very very good together, their voices mesh so well it's amazing!!
Started tuning my cover project this morning and Cevio is surprisingly fun to use??? Why did no one tell me how easy it is compared to Vocaloid lol. Working with Airi is really fun, can't wait to get back home and continue. I'm just already worried about the mixing, I suck at it and have no clue how to get the noise less noticable hmmmm -
