unfortunately the editors themselves have gotten pretty expensive these days, i've been seeing sealed physical copies of the v4 editor selling for 600-800 USD :/
i think if you're looking for affordable versions, look for people selling their digital copies. they go for a lot cheaper because they're less valuable than the tangible editor. but those are harder to come by and you definitely want to buy from a trustworthy source.

(also if ur ever interested im probs gonna sell my v4 cyber songman some day soon)

i would not recommend looking for editor + vbs on ebay, but rather on japanese sites like yahoo auctions and mercari. you'd be able to get much cheaper offers there

i've just hopped onto mercari jp via buyee and the prices are actually pretty reasonable so far! i'll look for a digital copy though, i can't even use a physical copy as i assume it's a disk and i have a laptop w/o a disk tray

update - having no luck as i can only find physical copies, most of them are for cubase. i can find v3 cheap though but i'd like v4 as thats where most voicebanks are and i want growl, so..
i guess i'll just check through the weeks!

V4 is unfortunately the hardest editor to get your hands on for a reasonable price - even on JP sites. I can't say I've ever seen a digital V4 go for sale anywhere, honestly. (Unless someone is selling it on twitter or something...? I still haven't seen that for myself though, but I think that would be the best bet)

I will say though that even if you don't have a disc reader on your laptop, disc readers that you can connect to your laptop via USB are widely available and are pretty cheap. If you do manage to find a V4 at all for a reasonable price, even if it's physical, you'll want to snatch it up since it'll be hard finding a deal on that ever again.
