Man, I didn't realize people were so... I guess "elitist" over how someone gets into Vocaloid (but then again, the only fandom people I follow are good acquaintances I've run into in other online spaces). I'm in a non-Vocaloid Discord and the gaming channel is flooded with people actively sharing their ProSeka screenshots. I'm not really into ProSeka myself but it makes me happy to see people so excited about the music and the characters lol. I'm just like "hello??? ProSeka players in this random server??? Omg so cool!"
I think it's great ProSeka has introduced Vocaloids to a new crowd that might not have been reached before!

And introducing new people to vocal synths in general is never a bad thing either, but I've seen takes from even popular people within the community that they miss Vocaloid being "small and niche" like bro... that's how communities die and we all know just how common the "Vocaloid is dead" sentiment is/was. Now that things are picking up again you really want to go back to how things used to be? Really??
It just baffles me. It doesn't really matter to me if someone likes or dislikes Sekai, there's any reason to feel either towards it, but hating it because it's... actually financially supporting producers from the community and introducing a lot of new people to vocal synths as a whole really isn't it.
(Sorry for the rant, I've just had these thoughts for a while now every time I see the topic come up on twitter or something OTL)
