  • Me: *loads Allen into a random Japanese vsq file for giggles*
Me two minutes later: Oh no???? I kind of want to actually work on this a bit? Oh NO????

(I think someone said it already but wow, I really do think Vocaloid's EN>JP conversion might be better than Synth V's somehow, I swear I can't hear as much of an accent, though take my ears with a grain of salt obviously sjdkfls) (Not trying to crap on Synth V, I would just hope V6 would have some advantage being a bit pricier/bigger name sjflkdsjk)
Where do these people get these stems? /rhetorical because I’m too unmotivated to Google it :teto_lili:

They're probably isolating the vocals from the regular release. There are low tech ways to do that, which remix artists have been doing for ages (e.g. stereo phase inversion tricks that I'm not too familiar with)...but there are also machine learning based tools that can do it now, such as Vocal Remover | Isolate Voice & Instrumental Online | LALAL.AI. I'm assuming it doesn't have to be perfect for V6 to do its thing.

regarding the isolation ^ certainly can be but, its really not always the cleanest method of getting vocals and some of the ones i had that i thought were really clean, v6 did not care for it that much lol (the AI isolation is way better than the invert method, especially on high quality files). v6 definitely needs some pretty clear vocals for it to work based on my many tests and the person in the description states they got stems... i know some ppl out there are really good at ripping stuff out and properly cleaning it up so, probably more likely that. or maybe stems through some more underground site lol

notably, i use the AI isolated vocals just fine with praat, to get pitch bend and note data. pitch reads fine through those kinds of vocals but, you definitely need the cleanest/clearest vocals you can get if you dont want v6 to mess up various parts. the volume and background noise can be a problem.
Me, looking at the thumbnail for PinocchioP's new song: "Look I know it's spooky season so it really means nothing but this is not the first time I've felt personally attacked by his latest release either" :teto_lili:
I saw the blue Shion character and immediately went, “Oh no are there going to be Kaito stans going after them?” :clara_lili: Really curious to hear Hayato though, Hayato gives me Gender vibes for some reason
... I feel kind of stupid for catching myself expecting the multilingual features to have backwards compatibility ROFL WHOOPS
Did a search for an UTAU, got pictures of one of my favorite utaite. Got a good giggle out of the unexpected crossover :teto_lili:(I went "RINU WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" for a few minutes before I saw that the kanji shows up in the caption)

Oops I forgot the Tsudumi trial is ending soon. Cue mild panic (Though I do get paid tomorrow so I might just cave and buy her then XP)
YouTube just recommended this to me and I’m losing my mind do they have access to my Hulu history or something I just started watching Inuyasha last week :teto_lili:
So I randomly recorded myself singing a random syllable and made a mock UTAU bank out of it the other night and now I am saddled with unnecessary feelings :teto_lili:

I think I did see a contact form on their website when I went on to download the program earlier (I hadn't even downloaded it until tonight, I still had "CeVIO Pro" :teto_lili: ) so I might give it a shot. Though honestly I feel so embarrassed about it that I might just pretend I did it on purpose and let it go jdksldfds

I'd put money on you not being the first or only one to make the mistake. It wouldn't hurt to at least try! I guarantee they've had inquiries about far more obvious and embarrassing.

I just found out the people at Hooktheory have this thing called Chord Crusher that makes a game out of recognizing chords by ear. I played a little bit and I think I could get addicted to it sdkflsjkl (Given this sort of thing felt completely impossible for me before, I almost Have Hope again about maybe someday developing a decent ear :teto_lili:)
I got my own personal Iroha merchandise! :iroha_lili: Sort of! :teto_lili:
Baltimore Ravens jersey with NEKOMURA 68 on it
Dad randomly offered to buy me a personalized Ravens jersey and I panicked on what name to put on it so I said, "Feck it, Vocaloid reference it is" sjdfkl
