    I just finished my first sourdough bread and it tastes great! Just didn't rise as much as I wanted it too. I guess my starter needs to become a bit older and stronger but I'm already quite happy. Next time I hope it becomes bigger and fluffier!

    Sourdough has always fascinated me! We associate old food with being gross and expired and such, but sourdough is more like wine; the older it gets, the better it gets. You've got this!

    right?? as a kid I thought it was icky but now it's a lot of fun to experience the starter grow and to learn what a difference the smallest things make. Baking is so interesting, I'm quite happy that I can now actually do this hobby. Good sourdough starter can actually live forever as long as you care for it! That's so cool!!

    Nooo my Meikyuu Butterfly CD got canceled "due to seller's convenience" whatever that's supposed to mean. I was lucky that there was another one available, was a little bit more expensive but oh well. I will be so sad if this gets canceled too, I've been looking for a long time and was always a bit too late :ring_ani_lili:

    AI art has only become popular recently but it's already incredibly annoying and frustrating to me. "Well human artists take direct inspiration from other artists too, so where is the difference?" Can people really be that dumb? Have they not taken 1 minute to think? The difference is obvious, especially to anyone who's been interested in art for a while. I think one of the greatest examples was the Sailor Moon redraw challenge.. last year? Or 2 years ago? Thousands of artists redrew the exact same image. Some even tried to copy the original artstyle. But none of the images looked the same. There was uniqueness in every single one. Every artist thought carefully about what should stay exactly the same, what should change. Even the tiniest bit. Single dots. Everything has a thought behind it, a reason. And the most interesting thing was the facial expression. We all saw the same but interpreted it differently. Some drew her looking confident, some drew her looking angry, some drew her looking sad. Our brains told us all something different even though we saw the same image. AI doesn't "think". It just sees and copies. There is no reason. There is no history in where you grew up and how that affects what you see. Nothing of value at all. And I hate it.


    Wish I could condense this into something short to post under every single persons comment who claims AI art and real artists work is the same 'cause it's fucking not and this example alone proves it.

    I find AI art interesting/amusing in a meme context, but I agree that it should be considered distinct from art made by humans.

    Thinking about AI art in an overall context, I've seen the same arguments against AI art used against vocal synths - the idea that using a piece of tech to recreate something organic is somehow cheating. But to a larger degree, a vocal synth still needs a human to program it (even AI banks), and you still need to create a backing track for the final vocals to be overlaid on, so ultimately, humans are still putting in the work into making a vocal synth sing. AI art doesn't even have that going for it, being as it generates pieces solely depending on what you tell it to do.

    Yes exactly! For AI art there really is not a single human component in it at all! Even in vocal synths the user puts in their thoughts and expression in how exactly every single syllable is supposed to be pronounced, how it should sound etc. And this is the case for many of these things that people are against (digital art being looked down upon for years as well). But AI art really only is taking things that already exist and telling an algorithm to mash that up somehow. There is no true thought or precision in it. First they steal our art directly, now they do it indirectly and idk what's worse ...

    since I don't believe in Cangqiong AI becoming commercial anymore, anyone have any recommendations who else I could use as a third singer in this cover? This has been sitting around for months just because I've been waiting. I want her to be the third singer really bad but at this rate it's just not gonna happen lol

    This is completely unmixed btw, just everything thrown together

    You could replace her with Matcha or Mew with deep gen... There are also Ami Taiyo, Dione, APOLLO OG73 (with some gen) and AXIS OG36(OGIENOIDS/LadyOgien), if you own her, Kasumi (though with some gen more ; or if you own her, Koharu with gen down), or even SONJA or ZETA from Dv with some gen.... But then if you really wanted Cangqiong, why not trying to use her regular bank + singing or having somebody to sing the same thing so you can vocalmorph in spots you want her to be more on the AI and "liely" side ? =o That could work and be fun too

    Phew so many options. Trying to use Cangqiongs regular vb sounds interesting but I haven't really worked with chinese before so I'd have to see how to do that.

    I originally wanted this to be a mixed engine cover, so preferably a SynthV vocal but another Vocaloid would be fine too since I'm most used to tuning in there. Will have to think about this over night, it's already late here but thank you everyone for your tips and help :kizakiairi_lili:

    I hate being so self-conscious about my voice. I've been living with my boyfriend for 4 months now and I still can't really sing without feeling scared. Can't sing when he's home and still can't truly sing when alone because I'm scared that the neighbours will hear me. Thanks mom and dad for telling me as a kid that I sound like a dying animal and thanks to my "friends" back then for telling me I have an ugly voice. Ugh. I know both isn't true but it still affects me so much

    This Nintendo Direct absolutely ended me. Especially the announcement of A Wonderful Life Remake, Rune Factory 3 Remaster and Atelier Ryza 3. I'm dead. So happy. Best Direct I ever experienced. Farming and RPG fans are eating well, our crops are literally thriving

    Basically putting dendro Rika Furude into a "timeloop-not-timeloop" story. genius. 100% on purpose. makes me want to get her in the future just because of that.

    Can't wait for thursday!! I will be at gamescom the whooooole day. I swear, these gamescom livestreams the past 2 years and even the one today are awful compared to the actual event. I loooooove walking through all those halls, looking at the booths, being able to talk to the developers, look at all the creative stuff and ahhh gamescom is just great when you're there. I'll try to take a lot of pictures this year. It's gonna be great 💕
