    ive done numerous tests w vocalo change, using ai isolateed vocals because to me some are p damn clean, but vocalo change isnt always good with it still. some turned out alright but idk if i wanna post them on yt or anything... might throw them in my WIP cover thread maybe

    honestly like art contests are not a thing i care to participate in, and i almost would consider the ci flower one but. i just am not convinced by the 'secret' prize lol. makes me think it must be 'better' than receiving a copy of ci flower (bc why not just say that??) but what if its totally not better than receiving her bank haha..idk not a fan of not knowing, mostly when art contests take effort from artists *for free*. i think its kinda worth disclosing the prizes..

    obviously my ego isnt inflated so much that I think I'd win lol...and I like to participate for the fun of it but still, I would be lying if I said the prize being something I would or wouldn't want doesn't play a role in my participation, and I agree the "secret prize" is actually pretty off putting, like....I'd participate to win Ci Flower vb....but me imagining putting in the effort for something I potentially wouldn't even want...like...

    with some of the like... choppiness that comes out of less clean vocals w vocalochanger, i wonder if something like that program used to smooth out talk banks would work? kotonesync? or whatever the one for that was called. probably wouldnt fix the real bad errors, but the way it sounds on unclean source vocals kinda reminded me of talk banks being made to sing

    not to bring in more discussion abt ppl's reactions to v6, and i really dont frequent voctwit either bc i know i dont like it. but man, i tried the last few weeks to be mutuals w a few ppl around vocsynth bc 'i should try and connect w ppl i share interest with' only to be blatantly reminded that people Love being too negative abt things. im not talking about critique and discussion about issues w it. just like... exaggerated, insulting tweets that really dont do anything other than 1) rally up others who dislike it to join in on quick takes and 2) make you feel bad when you read it bc you are using it at all and dont feel as strongly.

    *I* have problems w v6, i have opinions about it! but even so its not....its not that serious? its just not. and even if these people arent "serious" i just have a hard time understanding why ppl act like that outwardly and think its bearable to be around (bc my god, for me, its really not). not everyone is like this for sure, and i feel some have settled down on it. but when i see it. boy.

    still. its why i prefer forums like this- its not to say you cannot be negative ever, or not crack a joke. but twitter's format is undoubtedly a breeding ground for snappy takes in short form, little regard to how it comes off or the fact that seeing it as someone's constant behavior online doesnt not make me think theyre very friendly lol.

    adding to the Yuma use notes: used him in more english. sometimes his S's at the end of words almost sound.. like 'sth'. kinda sounds like he gets a lisp lol. not super consistent (kinda changes depending on the pitch too?) but kinda funny tbh. but i actually think his accent it pretty good! anyways heres a bit i rendered of his english, in the lower range! :) Whyp - Free Audio Sharing for Everyone

    at first i was a lil dissapointed to see how little vocal modes Yuma has (idk how many Natalie has btw) buuuut the trend i have felt w vocal modes on dreamtonics banks is like. if you get 6 and they have vague/hard to describe names, theres gonna be two that just dont sound all too different. (at least, how i feel with Ryo tbh). so i can totally accept some more "straight forward" vocal modes and less of them, than trying to push for more when they may not sound too different anyways. but i do wonder if they may consider updating vocals with more varying vocal modes at a later date. i feel like that could be nice to see for some!

    dang... going through an archive i made of my 2013 tumblr blog that i havent looked at since i deleted the actual blog, and im starting to find posts where i got back into vocaloid lol... and its so weird seeing other posts where im hyped for vocaloids coming out back then. ei "omg im so excited for ruby! she sounds so good for an engloid!!" goddamn feels like a lifetime ago

    i have been having an annoyingly hard time finding people i want to commission for more art of Mez prior to release-- it doesnt help that within my own circle i have mostly been following furries so my immediate go-to's cant do it. the other thing too is that i want artists to be aware their art is going to be used with my utau because that means their art will 100% be used by others, and its very likely ppl arent going to credit them (its just something cant control as much as i want people to do so). even though its all free and not commercial use, i just like making sure the artist understands mostly in the case of stumbling across your art randomly somewhere and not knowing if someone just stole it. which is why i wanted to seek out artists i knew drew for utau quite often, as they'd understand it the most buuut im barely around utau artists on spaces like twitter, so i really dont know anyone, and sadly even utau specific places like utaforum etc are pretty inactive when it comes to making 'looking for' posts.

    ive been browsing through toyhouse as its the only place i can think of where i wont be bombarded by bots (thanks twitter) when seeking commissions, and im also not finding that theres loads of anime artists but many of them never draw men/dont have male examples.... or if they do theyre just, was too feminine and i know they wouldnt capture my character how i want. on the opposite end it seems when i do find a male centric anime artists, its like. only big buff baras lol.

    but TH has had a huge array of artists to dig through and im already jotting down a few i may go back to, even if i need to explain a bit that their art will basically be open to use with this character.

    properly recording my utau vbs and, while mez's design is final i think i will tweak some things like face shape just a bit. admittedly i dont tend to design first before voicing (bc i want to design to fit the voice) and i think ill tweak it as time goes on and my voices changes on T. but! my default pitch has dropped 3-4 semitones since my last attempts so thats cool.

    still looking for artists to get some art of my utau for the full release, but its been so long since i made a bank and worked hard on otoing it, so i may do a small beta release? because i kinda wanna add a lot onto it, but may want to put it out there in a early state too- idk, will have to see if i do enough to feel like it warrants that
