    Why are people still getting on Gwen Stefani about cultural appropriation?? I don’t get it. It’s clear that she is a fan of Japanese culture(especially Harajuku culture), but I don’t see how that’s any different from so many people I’ve met online that are regarded as totally okay. Edit: It turns out that people in Japan actually don’t care about this as much as westerners do.

    With the caveat that this kind of outrage on the part of groups like asian americans can be justified, in this specific instance the anger seems to be coming from the decontextualization of what she said. Headlines, baiting for outrage, quoted her solely as saying "my god, I'm Japanese!" but the full quote reveals that she wasn't trying to imply that she literally felt like she was Japanese or that she wanted to become Japanese a la weeaboo stereotype of old, but that she thought her contact with Japanese culture in early life influenced her feeling comfortable when she first visited Japan. I barely know who Gwen Stefani is so I have nothing in this for or against her. The way she said it was unfortunate, but if it hadn't be snipped out of the larger quotation, I doubt people would be acting like this.

    The people that lash out and get angry, and the people that lash out at those who originally got angry... all of them feed engagement and page views, and make the big guy money. Algorithmically served content and Google AdSense has literally weaponized our human disposition against us.

    If you're clever enough with your mixing it's possible to mask the NTness with it to fairly high degree....but you do make a point, they do sound like the vocaloid vbs to me...

    I’ll be so glad when January is over and I don’t have to be subjected to Christmas movies anymore.
    Once we’re moved I will need my own tv. There is so much I’ve wanted to watch over the years that I haven’t been able to because we only have one tv and my mom watched tv all the time while she works on the computer. I was watching The Umbrella Academy recently and she was literally like “You can’t watch this in my presence” because she she saw all of 10 min of it and decided it was too chaotic or something. She even started jabbing at it and asked me to defend it. But here I am forced to watch really awful Christmas movies. I’ve just reached the end of what I can tolerate I think.

    For Saki I'd see well a Scottish tartan-patterned dress or a brooch, Qingsu a spiky bracelet or a pin's, Ryo a red satin choker (but I guess it's because I think about Ryou Shirogane's own choker) Kevin a jade-coloured sneaker, Mo Chen a book, Feng Yi a feather, An Xiao an apricot (either the fruit or the flower), Weina a small crown or golden diadem, Yuma, Natalie a small gadget like a tiny Pc or even a mirror, and Mai either a strawberry or a satin bow ; then Xuan Yu maybe an onyx jewel and Cong Zheng either a guitar or a crimson spotlight

    (Don't ask me I've wierd concepts... At least Saki's would make sense since her original logo really minded me to a tartan)
