In truth, I'm probably gonna use that money to get a year-long license to the new VoiSona vocals, because I've fallen in love with them both and my trial's almost up. But dang it, you can't dangle something over my head, tell me it'll be gone forever soon, and expect me to NOT face the temptation of snatching it up!

I'm ready to go through the hassle of installing her Talk because no matter her pros and cons, her Talk bank is as worth of existing as her singing, that I'm pissed off they're discontinuing it, and that I will retry tonight to buy her OTL

I'll be honest, it probably isn't worth the trouble unless you do intend on using her a lot ^^;; I'm pretty sure she has the same restrictions as V1 Voiceroids, which means you'll have to change pretty much everything about your computer (locale, main keyboard, language, region, etc.) just to be able to even use her. If you intend on using/buying V1 Voiceroids in the future then it could be a worthwhile investment (or if you don't mind setting your entire computer to Japanese as an immersive language learning experience), but it's a lot to ask for for one single Talk bank you don't really have your heart set on.

I'm not trying to stop you, but a lot of people have bought V1 Voiceroids in the past not knowing they couldn't use them/weren't willing to change so much just to use them, and as someone who's collected all of them and am very used to their quirks, this is the one thing I like to warn people about orz.

Of course, there's also the option of just having her even if you don't intend to use her, at least for the sake of preservation. That's a worthwhile reason to buy her in itself, but if you ever feel like actually trying to use her, I'd keep the above stuff in mind.

Thank you! I actually didn't know any of that (I knew about the V1 Voiceroid restrictions, just didn't realize the same applied to Galaco Talk). Yeah, my heart wasn't set on it, but now I know I'm better off saving my money. Plenty others have already bought her, so her software will be preserved! I'm just grateful for that much.

(BTW do you think it's the pop-up blocker that avoided the small window to load ?)

Ah, that could be it! Try disabling your ad and pop-up blockers and see how that goes.
