I adore aman0_kei for all the tea he provides tyuio hence I follow him, I also appreciate how he goes out of his way to stay in touch with every corner of the vsynth community.

Now if I've been counting correctly, this is our first public developer feud since Ruby: almost 10 years, not bad going!

I hate to admit it, but after years of enduring the single most toxic fan community I’ve seen within the vocalsynth fandom, I’m kinda there with him. I don’t have anything against the software or its users, make no mistake! But it’s wonderful that people are finally realizing that SynthV isn’t the most flawless program ever created and Kanru/Dreamtonics aren’t perfect beings of pure light and selflessness. There’s still plenty of people clinging to the notion and violently lashing out at anyone who suggests otherwise, make no mistake, but the divorce between developers and userbase that should have happened long ago might just finally be underway.

…I promise it’s not as malicious as it sounds. I’m just a frustrated fan.

Yeah gotta be the unpopular voice in this convo but that is a level of petty even I can't relate to
DT is deserving of clownery and critique, and I get why he would have beef with them but seeing the frequency he subtweets at the company feels a little excessive, to the point he just comes across as childish at times. I actually unfollowed him months ago because of that. But that's just me.

Somehow I feel like my antennae shout louder by the years for good reasons when reading what Amano said (it's a shame though because I like Saki but m'well ; also feeling not alone anymore because I see he brought back the ROCALOID thing)

Kei is honestly a pillar of our community and I’m glad he’s comfortable being candid. I would be equally frustrated and I am surprised by nothing he has said at all. Was definitely the right time to air out frustrations

(tangentially I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t happened sooner given kanru’s history of unfortunate hijinks)
