I think Konami got the right idea with Laugh Diamond. Making an official Vsynth idol group is a gold mine that takes the idol culture, and fully connects it with the music composers. And by styling the art to look like those Idol games/show, it gives a sense of familiarity to those that are already fans of the Idol genre. Idol girl groups have always been a cashgrab concept in Japan so I was wondering why it took this long to make a synthesized AI Idol girl group.
Maybe some found it to be very risky and too expensive, but in the future, I predict that other "girl groups" could come out with other Vsynch engines like SynthV and Vocaloid 6. Or even the one of the Prosekai groups (who are not owned by Crypton) could get a synthesized version, (that is, if Crypton have a say on it)
