  • I think Konami got the right idea with Laugh Diamond. Making an official Vsynth idol group is a gold mine that takes the idol culture, and fully connects it with the music composers. And by styling the art to look like those Idol games/show, it gives a sense of familiarity to those that are already fans of the Idol genre. Idol girl groups have always been a cashgrab concept in Japan so I was wondering why it took this long to make a synthesized AI Idol girl group.

Maybe some found it to be very risky and too expensive, but in the future, I predict that other "girl groups" could come out with other Vsynch engines like SynthV and Vocaloid 6. Or even the one of the Prosekai groups (who are not owned by Crypton) could get a synthesized version, (that is, if Crypton have a say on it)
Okay, who the hell is Pepper? Is she(?) one of those robot waiters I see in those Robotic shows?

Was Pepper always this short? I mean, in a design stand-perspective, a direction-giver/guide seams nice if it is closer to the eye-level. Unless your giving directions to someone short, it feels like you'll get neck cramps bending down, especially if you have joint issues, which may be the intention for Romeo.

The website seems to address Pepper with male pronouns so maybe it's supposed to be a "little boy" feel?

It's common for masculine pronouns to be the default/neutral option in languages where masculine and feminine language exists. The Japanese site calls Pepper "Pepper-kun", but women in workplace environments (younger than the speaker) are also frequently called "kun". I think this pronoun is chosen because the robot is marketed as an endearing, but professional representative for your hypothetical company. In English, the pronouns used are "they/them". Therefore it is safe to assume that Pepper is Pepper.

Robots do not experience gender or the social systems that come with gender as humans do, so you can use language to describe Pepper that you personally connect with. That's what the robot is for-- making a connection with you. Such is the intent of social robotics!
Can anyone explain this crossgrade version of Gumi AI? I saw this tweet/post but I'm still lost at how it works.

Not gonna lie. I'll need to get used to Porter Robinson's V6 bank name.
I am aware that Po-uta is like a combo of Porter and Utau. Which is a good meaning, but my language and my speech patterns fuse the words from Po-uta, to Pouta... then to Puta.
Why are there really good SEKAI covers in Bilibili? And why didn't I know about this sooner? They really made her sound so emotional, it's just gorgeous.

Wow this almost sounds like a different voicebank compared to some of the other Sekai uses I've heard. I always forget to check Bili for stuff because I find it hard to navigate for some reason (language barrier probably helps X'D)
This guy/girl is paying a subscription for Kirune. I don't want their money to feel like a waste so I'm spreading the word of their covers here.
PS. love the art, and the idea of Kirune singing Mahou Shoujo songs.

If they’re enjoying using him, that’s not money wasted in the slightest. I doubt they’re self-martyring for using a subscription-based VB 😆 thank you for sharing! This is a really unique usage of him.
Chis-a ENGLISH CONFIRMED!!! And she is gorgeous.!!
