What makes you say Avanna's accent is from Dublin? I honestly didn't know Dublin's accent was much different from the rest of Ireland, but I just didn't live there long enough to be able to tell.
@pico: Ireland is known for being a tiny island with many, MANY accents, haha. (Not Irish here, just a massive dialect geek.) But if you listen to speakers from like, the west, south or very north of the country, you're not generally going to find people who sound like Avanna; most of the Avanna soundalikes are from counties on the east in the Leinster province, like Dublin and Carlow. Avanna's accent has elements of a non-local dialect (an "RP" of sorts) which makes her a bit harder to place exactly, though in finding a couple of videos of her alleged voice provider speaking (which was to help with accent placement as well as Talkloids), her VP definitely sounds like she's from the east of Ireland. She's not likely from Ulster, Connacht or Munster; most likely Leinster.
@M1023: Yeah, that's what I'd imagine happened. Similar to Fukase's situation I guess, or how Yohioloid is Swedish but went for an American-sounding accent. And on Prima and Tonio being non-natives I wouldn't be surprised; where do you think they were from?
Then again, I've heard an Irish person say that her accent sounds like it's from the west or south, maybe even Cork, and I saw an "accent tag" video with a girl with a similar accent to Avanna's VP's and someone guessed she was from Cork, and I saw some videos of a "supraregional" Irish accent and the intonation didn't quite match up, being closer almost to like a London English prosody...But to my ears, most of the Corkonians I've heard in videos don't sound anything like Avanna. (I think her accent is softened some due to having some "singing" pronunciations, otherwise her [aU] might be more generally frontal and the like, based on her VP's accent.)
I dunno. Maybe in the end it doesn't matter what county she's from (for speed readers, i said "county", not "country"). Though grasping the "general area" of where her accent is from could help with intonation for Talkloids and stuff.
