  • Recently, i start to dig drive into western vocal synths community back in 2012 and onward. There is a lot of things going on but let's keep it that way.....
There is something that got my attention is a fanloid thing, especially the sounds of it. I do found quite a lot of art box design but i can hardly find a sounds or songs made from this fanloids, i would like to listen to it more and if possible. I would like to use it, if i'm not breaking terms of use or anything related.

Another thing that caught me is how people do Cross-Synths a voicebanks that not suppose to work with each other, i mean, those voicebanks that get duct-taped together are not even made from the same company, like kokone/Rana or Merli/Meiko, how is that even possible?
I see some of it on YT that people using Luka, Miku on SynthV, but i'm not sure.

Using XSY in V4 to cross synth any voicebanks you want is pretty easy to do as long as you have at least one Vocaloid that has 2 voicebanks that can use XSY. Then you just have to go through your installation folders of your voicebanks and swap some files around.

Oh, there are also external morphing programs you can use, like with KIRA's "VOICE" where he morphed Miku and Gumi with some SynthV voicebanks to make them sound more realistic.

I try to swap some files around as suggested but it's not doing well so i have to reverse back. Maybe i try it later on.
I play around with morphing plugins and dedicated vocals editor and it end up with 3-4 different way like, phase morphing, formants morphing, pitch/amplitude morphing and most popular a performance morphing. It's surprisingly simple to do to copy performance of synth v export file, since it's already tunned, all i have to do is align with my vocaloid, the result is very good.

    Anyway, thanks for all suggestion.
100+ views in just one day! I don't have much expectation but seems like it turn out well!

There is a singer setting i use for this song but it's not a fixed value.
Brightness : -10 to +30 Drawing on chorus and intro
Clearness : 5 to 20 Drawing on chorus and intro
Gender factor: -10 to +10 Drawing when pitch get higher, try to use negative value

    Pitch Control
Bend depth : set to 3% and forget

    Dynamics Control
Decay : set to 0% and forget (no volume decrease overtime)
Accent : 10 to 60% adjust to taste

I would like to see Luka getting some upgrade, even a minor quality of life improvements.
I use a many vocal synths lately, but i still came back to use Luka. I have to admit that i can't find anything to replace.
Being detached is a good thing i feel like, especially on the internet nowadays. These drama addict people try their absolute best to jump "into" someone else problem that is not even relate to them in the slightest. Even though it is very obvious but people still eat the bait and that silly drama got lit brighter than Christmas tree.

I guess common sense is no longer common anymore.
She's sound very cheerful for the song like this.

I like it. The MV is fantastic.

This is an old video but i'm glad that i found it.
It's quite a challenge to find this kind of MV on a cover, i would like to see it more.

I agree! I think it'd be cool to see more different styles of filmmaking in the community in general. I love the classic style of lyric video but variety is good too. I always thought EZFG's handmade music videos were incredibly cool. His last song 焦存 had an interesting woodburning mv.

This is brilliant, especially hand write character MV but i do understand that it is impractical to most people out there, especially shooting live action video, it's such a time consuming.
I do rarely watching MV because i listen to music while doing something else but now, i feel like i missing a lot of good crafting MV.

I usually don't listen to this kind of song but i'm glad i did.
My friend told me this is one of the vocaloid song that reaching over 100 million views and even more surprised with vFlower. Absolutely Insane!

Another song i recommend, this is more of a personal favorite but, this song is truly amazing with vFlower

I don't have luck making her sound great so when i listen to this song it's kinda made me feel.... jealous.

That sounds awesome. I think the mix of the chorus voice in the beginning adds so much to it.

I'm impressed with new free version of synthv voicebanks, it's really good to the point that i don't have to do anything. Just create a decent midi with a little bit of touch and it's ready to go.

When compare to ancient vocaloid 4, i have to do inch by inch to get something. I mean, why i even try.

I like neutrino but free synthv is much more friendly to get into.

What i mean is synthv have ability to reduced workload from days of working to hours or even week of tuning to just a few hours. Insane isn't it?

When look at it as users perspective, it's just too good for a free software. I work with v4 everyday for almost a decade now, first time i use old free synthv with renri, i don't feel surprised that much other than quality of vb but now, it's very hard for me to recommend vocaloid to a newcomers and v6 is still doesn't cut it and the price of the editor is not budget friendly.

I honestly don't recommend V6 (or V5) to beginners either tbh

I think v6 is a good editor but when compare to other or even free stuff, it's not compatitive anymore, if v6 price go down i definitely want one, but i stick to v4 for now.
I do the mixing part but, i don't know why it's get pitched like this.

The thing about pitch up or down the whole song like this is you get the "sand paper or dust" feel when you listen to it, especially a busy rock song like this, and he's request substantial amount of reverb on the vocals too. When it done like this the reverb and low-low mid freq will suffer the most, attack of the kicks will sound smear, guitar will sound tin and you get dust at high frequency and audio clipping is unavoidable.

I have absolutely NO mean to talk negatively behind peoples, i just point out the problem and consequence of doing so (lesson learned). This is why communication is SO IMPORTANT and this should be happy ending, but at the end it turn out ok. I guess..... at least comment look happy.

I spend a lot of effort to make it good so he can use it proudly and i made sure listener will get the best experience.
Making song, play it, cover it, is fun and can be very therapeutic. Atleast this is how it's feel back then, but now is like doing it just because i want to forget something and it work, sometime.

It's not supposed to be that way, but i can't help it.
