They collaborated on a little Vocaloid live show with the German fan radio VocalNexus feat. Yuzuki Yukari and DAINA, in Mannheim, a few months ago.

it's still going I think, there's just fewer shows these days.
i kinda like animasas mmd models. theyre really nostalgic for me

I like them a lot, too! They look low-poly compared to all the models available now, but I think they're very nice. I feel like they're kinda underrated anymore.

Yeah theyre not bad at all, theyre just kinda old and we have better now. I really like the luka one though!

Back when I used to use MMD, I liked the Animasa ones too. Though I always wished they had some of the extra details seen on the original boxarts, like the stuff on the detached armsleeves for Miku, Rin and Len, along with the 01 and 02 codes on their arms. (I know some fan edits have done this, but none of them screamed to me that they looked better than the originals - they always put in weird/fancy textures on their hair or something that made it look off to me on an Animasa model, which is supposed to look "simple").

I'm so sorry. Colleges, especially here in the US, tend to prioritize funds. Is there anything we can do to help?

No, unless you happen to have a spare 11,000 dollars laying around! T_T
I have a huge loan that I've been approved for but it hasn't gone through in three months. Every time I call they say they'll "see what they can do" and it should "be taken care of in a few days."
I'm totally at my wits end! If this loan doesn't go through by december I cant come back next semester and thats a scary thought!
please play this at my wedding as i walk down the aisle
When I first started making covers I was really bad and everyone I showed them too were always really harsh about them. I'm trying to work up the courage of making my art and music public again after years of being too afraid to, but it's really hard to get out of this kind of rut!

I understand. It's so hard to open up after being shut down like that. I've got faith in you - we all do! The first few steps are always the hardest.

I understand completely. Being criticized harshly when you first start out can really take a toll on your confidence, but I'm sure once you take those first steps you'll start to feel more confident than before! :D
i finished my cover and im really proud of it! its still not flawless but its been a year since i touched vocaloid and its my first time using sf-a2 miki since i downloaded her trial like 5 years ago. So im still happy with it :)

I think, if no potential vocaloids had been announced after stella by NOW we could announce them again. She's kind of a thing of the past and most people forgot about her. However, there have been SO many potential vocaloids and all of them have burned and crashed. Ring, Lui, Alys (she exists now, but not on the vocaloid engine), Stella, Rose, Ausgris, just to name a few.
At this point no one trusts or even gives these projects the time of day.

Who is Rose? I know who stella is, but I have never heard of Rose. Is a fake Vocaloid like Stella?
    cafenurse

Nah she wasnt fake like Stella, she was a potential vocaloid made by fans from the community using kickstarter, but her project fell apart very early on.
I've been trying to make my first ever VSQx and it's really hard!! My ears aren't good with music so I'm using melodyne, but it's not perfect so a lot of it is me still having to figure stuff out....I wish I was a virtuoso

@cafenurse The recorder was the only instrument I'd ever attempted to play as a kid, and we only learned how to play like... B A G or something. I've only been playing guitar for like 1 year and 3 months (I'm an adult now who didn't care about music at all until like 2ish years ago), VOCALOID made me want to try hard to learn music theory. There are so many resources online that teach music varying from babyish (how to play certain simple lullaby songs) to advanced (college level music theory) on Google and YouTube. It's hard not to start wanting to learn more about music or a certain instrument just from being surrounded by it in the Vocaloid/UTAU/CeVIO/vocal synth scene.

(Not that this ramble is related to your initial question, though...)

@uncreepy I never actually had any interest in instruments or music before vocaloid! I've definitely taken advantage of online resources in the past but ive been too busy to stay consistent with studying. Im thinking of maybe taking a music theory class to cover my arts credit!

One thing that I find to be really helpful with ear training is associating intervals with certain songs. For example, a perfect 4th sounds like the interval when you sing “Here comes the bride”. Once you’ve figured out what a particular interval sounds like, you can transpose it between keys, so you would know that if you start on a C and the interval from that to the next note is an ascending perfect 4th, then you would know that the next note is an F and if you were starting on an Eb, then it would be an Ab. Sorry if that got a little complicated/wordy, but if you’re interested in ear training exercises, musictheory.net can be useful. Plus it explains intervals and other useful stuff like solfege.
The job hunt is rough! I've applied everywhere on campus and no luck. If only I had a car so I could apply to places off campus.

I've always wanted a JPN Vocaloid because I had no ideas for English covers and now that I have one the only covers I have in mind are in English.

It takes a lot of practice if you weren't raised around music, I would think. Keep at it and you'll be cranking out masterpieces in no time! :chika_ani_lili:
I kinda wanna buy Prima cause I love her but I don't think I'd ever actually use her. So...is she really a smart financial decision?

If you have the money and love her, then go for it; you can at least play around with her some. Otherwise, I'd say wait.
