The Miku Expo Europe news reminds me of why I don't like the vocaloid fandom. We say we want more content in languages other than Japanese or English but when such content gets popular there's backlash. We say we want more vocaloids and more marketing for new vocaloids but when it happens we say it's stealing from Miku and co. It makes my head hurt...
You know I rag on the vocal synth community a lot on other platforms, but the best part about it is that anyone regardless of knowledge can be a fan and engage and there's no chance of getting major spoilers like you would with a game/show/manga etc fandom. You can even stay away from new vocaloid music for a long time (or forever) and still have plenty to talk about.
Didn't want to make a whole thread out of this but what's your favorite Vocaloid duet/love song? I don't listen to that many so im always looking for recommendations
We like to say Vocaloid Amino is bad but it was one of the only vocaloid communities where I could say the name of any vocaloid and people would know who I was talking about. Beat that
It really grinds my gears when people say two vocaloids sound alike just because they're feminine and have a similar range. If that's your criteria then a lot of vocaloids sound the same. Idk, it really isn't much of a problem but it always makes me sad to hear "all the female japanese vocaloids sound the same!!"
this is important. Anybody know any Vocaloid songs that have 4 singers? (and are also decently well known?) I feel like there are some on the tip of my tongue.
