What do you mean? Like if you can use certain vocaloids on multiple computers?

Ive seen some people say that vocaloids come with a certain amount of use codes on different computers and if you use too many of them they dont work anymore.
so like every time you install a vocaloid on a computer, you lose a use

That sounds.....odd and unpractical?? Where did you see that being said?

Ran out of code uses with Leon theres this, circus-p talked about him losing access to luka and miku v2 because of this too. This method actually used to be very common with old technology, so Im not surprised it was used with vocaloids. I just wanted to know if its still a thing
