Oh no sorry I mean that old prototype V3 that never got released. Ring Suzune, who was gonna be released along with Lui Hibiki, but she actually got a bank and demos unlike poor Lui.
it always amazed me how attached people were to ring and lui for so long. liek you STILL see them in memes and fanart, more so than any other abandoned vocaloid project. i wonder what was so appealing about them
Oooh I remember now gyhuijo had a brain fart. Honestly I bet someone out there still has her demo saved to external drive or something collecting dust.
@cafenurse I'm guessing the heavy early promotion they got? I feel like those of use who weren't around at the time can't feel any attachment to her tbh.
Ring and Lui were a strange time. The fandom was split on whether they absolutely adored them, or thought they were too similar to Miku and Len and thus absolutely sucked. There were more hardcore Lui stans than anything, and Ring's demos were heavily criticized for sounding "too much like a mix of Miku and Rin" (as Vocaloids at the time often were).
Tbh I think there's always something appealing about the 'what could have beens'. Ring and Lui will be a staple for years to come probably. Personally, my heart still lies with Akikoloid chan... Is there anyone who still has her....
