    Since it's so quiet, I'm gonna scream into the void.

    THIS FUCKING PICTURE MAKES MY HEART MELT EVERY FUCKING TIME I SEE IT. Rick's always been my favorite Mineral Town character, and I've shipped him with Pete since learning about the TLE in high school, but it's fairly niche because he's the least popular of the bachelors, but then this ABSOLUTE SAINT comes along and makes not just a cute cuddling Claire and Karen but a deeply happy and in-love Rick and Pete and IT ALWAYS MAKES ME SO FUCKING HAPPY.

    Fun Fact: I ship Karen with Ann. It's largely because I ship Eve and Ann from Magical Melody (who originated in the SNES game, and who were Karen and Ann's grandmothers, respectively, in 64), but also they're really close in 64, and while that didn't really carry over into the Mineral Town games I still adore it.

    Anyway, shipping Karen with Ann ensures Rick being with Pete doesn't leave Karen alone (also, Karen just exudes Big Lesbian Energy, like a rural psuedo-Euro-Japamerican Luka), but shipping her with Ann leaves Cliff alone, which led me to ship him with Elli, because Elli/Doctor was always my least favorite of the rival pairings (it always just felt so one-dimensional compared to the others). And that works, because they're both absolute sweeties who want a giant family and they'd get married and have like five kids and be the best parents ever! But then the Doctor's still alone! So a while back I was watching videos someone uploaded of heart events from the remake (which have since been removed because MuH cOpYrIgHt) and the Doctor in the remake has a really close friendship with, of all characters, Carter... so I may or may not now ship them... The truth is I could probably ship him with Claire, but can Claire and Pete simultaneously exist in the same place at the same time? Then there would be an overabundance of farmers in Mineral Town...

    Whatever the case, I try to make it work out for everyone.

    Skincare groups can be brutal. I asked a rep at Ulta for a hydrating toner and took her word for it, but it turns out I've been using an exfoliating toner, which is the exact opposite of a hydrating toner and the probable reason my skin's been acting up lately.

    My primary skincare group will not stop making fun of me. I admitted that I felt like an idiot and one person responded "Because you ARE an idiot" and everyone laugh-reacted and heart-reacted her comment.

    Look, I've only been at this for just over a year, I'm allowed to make mistakes. orz

    I was obsessed with makeup in high school but the beauty community in my school and online are so bad I'm not in it anymore. I still wear makeup but I don't participate in the culture now...which has helped my wallet since im not obsessed with new releases now lol!
    But beauty communities are very self-obsessed and harsh. No fun.

    Yeah, I know the makeup community is hella harsh, but the skincare community, at least the sides I've partaken in, is usually more kind. People are usually quite helpful if you're not committing a cardinal sin of skincare. I was surprised to get jumped like that.

    The Reddit community is just as bad lol. So much bitchiness and many superiority complexes over what brands people use. ("I don't use Maybelline and Rimmel because they're not cruelty free!" No offense if you do use cruelty free stuff, but I hate it when they chew out other people for using non-CF brands.)

    Facebook groups breed a special kind of crazy because of their closed-off nature. It's how psuedoscience and conspiracy theories spread on that site, and it's always Boomers that get taken in for whatever reason.

    I'm probably gonna create a thread for Bili slang, like Kazumi's thread of Nico slang. I'm no expert, but I've learned a lot, and I wanna help others feel less intimidated by Bili.

    Honestly, though it's less accessible than Nico, I like it a whole lot more.

    Look what popped up on YouTube! Talk about a blast from the past. I remember sitting in my room on my computer that looked like a giant cube that ran Windows XP, listening to this for the first time and being so excited. I fell out of Vocaloid about a year later, and I don't guess I've heard this since then.

    HAH oh gosh I do wish we'd gotten to see the full image of the Kaito Append design. I can't imagine it was much different than a short sleeved Kaito V3, but I still wanna know!! I also remember how fucking pissed people were about the scarf, prompting it to be only a liiiittle bit see-through in V3's design LOL.

    Ah, I went ahead and deleted Exile Love Song from my YouTube and I feel a lot better. I’m sad about how it turned out after putting so much time into it, but’cha can’t win ‘em all, y’know? I just have to work harder to make the next one suck less.

    Vocaloids have so many breath samples, that was pretty shocking going from UTAU to Vocaloid to me. Do people even make use of most of them? :yohioloid_lili: Also did you get that extra CD :o ??

    Some do, most don't. This is a lot even by Vocaloid standards though. Cryptonloids, by comparison, usually come with 5 breath samples per VB. And yes, she did! It's a DVD so I haven't tried watching it yet.

    Ah, the Mineral Town remake has officially surpassed 200k copies sold! That's 2/3rds as many as the original GBA games have sold since their debut in 2003, in the span of four months! I'm really happy!

    The scar I have on my right arm/elbow from surgery has formed a keloid. I figured it was just a really thick scar and that the other arm hadn’t scarred up like that because there were fewer complications with the second surgery. I wore a short-sleeved shirt tonight and my stepmom (who is a radiologist) saw it and was shocked by it. Apparently it looks hideous and painful.

    I don’t mind the way it looks; I think it’s badass-looking. The only problem is that it’s kinda tender whenever I try to put weight on that elbow (which I already can’t do anyway - it’ll be months before I can fully support weight on either arm again). I usually slap some lotion on it before I go to bed, but now that I know it’s more than a basic scar, I figured I’d Google ways to help it out a bit more.

    According to Google, my best option is cryotherapy with a side of radiation treatment. MULTIPLE results suggest the same.

    No, Google, I think I’ll just stick with the Hydro Boost for now, thanks.

    Yeah, keloids tend to only disappear through surgery. One risk of getting a tattoo is a keloid forming if the tat doesn't heal right. (One of many risks that put me off getting tats...)

    Keloids tend to be harmless though, if annoying to look at. It's probably only worth getting more surgery if it actually itches or is painful to touch, because some keloids can do that.

    Y'all remember when I mentioned that one person on Bili who commented two chicken wing emojis on one of my videos and nothing else? I got another odd, cryptic comment, and, in my attempt to track down what it meant (the comment was "Lian jiang!" which Google said meant "Even the sauce," but that I figured out actually meant "Len-kun!"), and I think I figured out the chicken comment!

    Apparently it means something along the lines of "Excited". So I'm guessing the chicken wings are like... a rough but less-used equivalent of Nico's "wkwk".

    The fun part about skincare shopping: I love checking out different brands and ingredients so I can try new stuff or make new recommendations to friends!

    The bad part about skincare shopping: screaming "NO!" and body slamming someone whenever I see them eyeing product that will wreck their skin is not considered socially acceptable, so I just have to watch in saddened horror as they happily fill their carts with walnut scrubs, pore strips, and lemon and grapefruit products.
