(Note, this is just my humble opinion as a VY2V3 owner.) The only difference is people are mad Yamaha threw out his falsetto bank. Since the people who are boycotting his V5 basically just want his falsetto, they probably don't actually own him at all and haven't gotten to use his falsetto or seen how stinking hard it is to use/how few opportunities you even have to use falsetto. I think if you are satisfied with his V5 and have no reason to use falsetto (so many Vocaloids don't have falsetto, either), then don't worry about what other people say you are missing out on.
