Dangggggg. I do so look forward to hearing this finished! Ruko sounds awesome!!! The vocals sound nicely mixed to me, and I actually don't hear Ruko's typical spit-y consonants, LOL.
For plosives such as D's and T's, I prefer to automate the stem's trim volume rather than de-ess. Kinda like this:
Of course, there's no right or wrong way, just so long as it works in the context of the mix.
Having said that, I ain't no pro. But Warren Huart is a professional mixer with multiple number-one hits under his belt and an active YouTube channel. If you visit his channel and type "vocals" into the search field, you should be able to find something that will help develop your vocal mixing skills.
