  • Yeah I’m not gonna get Vocaloid5

The fact that Piapro Studio has most of the stuff I need + compatibility with Vocaloid2 vbs is enough reason for me not to get it

As much as I’d LIKE to get V5, its those compatibility issues I’m worried about. Plus, my pc isn’t exactly the fastest one on the planet

It takes like 10 or so minutes to get everything booted up

From my experience with both piapro and v5, (which I don't have too much in either, but I've used them enough) I think I would actually reccomend v5 over it. I hated working in piapro so much when I didn't have V4. I avoided it at all costs. I don't plan on putting piapro on my new computer ever, but on my old one, it was just as laggy and unresponsive as v5 on it. And tbh, opening the daw and then loading the vst probably took as much time as it would take to boot up v5.

I don't want to push you away from getting piapro (I think you're getting Miku v4 either way so there's no problem) but just be aware of this when you try it!! :0 nevertheless, good luck! I've heard varying opinions on piapro so i might be the minority here

I have the exact opposite experience as Static-oceans  but then maybe it's because I never really have been using the V3/V4 editor either, because I wanted to use a VST in a Daw from the start. I love  working in Piapro and I really, really hate working in V5. I find V5 very tedious, f.ex. the way you always have to edit every single vibrato in both intensity and length. In Piapro you can have a default setting and then change here and there when needed. And I personally don't like to use any of the styles in V5. And if you - like I do - always work in a DAW (Studio One pro for me), then you really don't need all these effects, I like to use my own effects (reverb, compresser, eq). I also plan to get the new Piapro NT, as I can see that there will be a VST-version - IF it can use the v3 and v4 banks.
Is Miku Chinese worth it to buy? I wanna get all of Miku’s V4 banks and I’ve heard some not great things about her CHN bank

Two weeks I believe? All of Crypton’s trials last about that long, except Miku’s, whose trial lasts 39 days (meaning you might wanna wait and use her trial AFTER you have a full-time editor, unless you already know you want her and just wanna use her a bit before taking the plunge).

(I’m asking for her bundle for my birthday in a month lol)

and two weeks should be enough to get accustomed to the editor

I believe @Kazumi owns her! Kaz, what do you think?
Does anyone with a Baidu account have that one First Storm Chinese vsqx that someone made? I don’t have an account, and it won’t let me download it

Also, I FINALLY finished ALIX’s primary demo. It took me WAAAAY too long to get around too

(And ngl I’m tempted to take down her CV bank, since her VCV is FAR SUPERIOR to her CV.)
After I buy Yanhe and Avanna (maybe) I may go and look at the Kotonohas :O

Oooooo I’m seriously looking at that SynthV studio Pro starter pack with the Kotonohas

TIME TO GO THROW MORE MONEY AT SOMETHING THAT WILL JUST SIT ON A SHELF LOL
AGGGGHH I HATE HOW EXPENSIVE VOCALOIDS ARE

I FINALLY have enough money to buy Yanhe, and now I want to buy Avanna while she’s on sale. >:(

Well, I DO have that coupon Zero-G gave me for reviewing SONiKA that I could use........

    Its so pretty!!!
Btw uhhh a technical question: Is the interface of the Tiny Vocaloid Editor in Chinese? Or is it in English unless you manually change it? (I don’t have V3 nor do I already have the Tiny Editor installed)

Hmm I've never used the tiny editor sadly so I can't quite say :( but my v4 editor was always in English (I haven't used her in the v3 editor yet :x)

I have Tiny Vocaloid 3 Editor but not Yanhe, even if it installs in Chinese, you can change the language in the preferences (there are 5 languages available), it only takes like 3 button presses to change it.
Anyone know if there’s an off-vocal for the Project Diva Extend PSP version of Melody.exe? The version without the character intro at the beginning?
I already have a couple songs saved that I wanna cover with Yanhe when I finally get her
Here’s to hoping my voice can go low enough to still sound good for that male UTAU I’m making
Working on a medley with an UNGODLY amount of UTAUs, and-

You are a brave soul to tackle this. There is a medley I’d like to cover, but I can never bring myself to mix that much.
well I got a base oto up and running and it sounds good so far!!! Idk when I'll be done with ALIX's VCV bank but it shouldn't be too far
I’m actually considering recording ALIX’s English bank with Vocaloid phenomes. I’m more familar wih them and most VSQs would possibly work with it
