Spoiler alert: Lucy was actually a decent-sounding synth past the ridiculous limitations and price point. Her new counterpart doesn’t even have that much going for him.

The EmVoice situation makes me sad. I had listened to Lucy before knowing all the problems with her engine, and it really could have a lot of potential if they were willing to let go of some of the limitations and lower the price. It is ironic about the price considering I believe the developers were Utau users who disliked Yamaha's price for V5. At least with V5 you get four voices and a engine with no limitations. Somewhat curious about how the new male voice sounds, so if anyone has a link please post it.
On the bright side, I believe Lucy is voiced by CZloid's VP, so if CZloid is still up, you could always use that instead of Lucy.
