I feel your pain, they really do be out here making everything super complicated and stressful when it doesn't need to be. I hope things get resolved super soon!

@nalondollie My parents have offered to phone them for me if they take too long to respond, since it is an emergency (and I have issues with making phone calls).

Do you have anything like an academic advisor or actual person you meet with to work on your PhD process? If there's someone like that, I would be sure to let them know, too, just in case the tech stuff doesn't get resolved in time. If an actual person you've worked with knows, it's possible they would be able to at least help any applicable deadlines get waived for a few days until the tech issues get sorted out.

@mobius017 The enrolment problem is actually about my current Master's, not my PhD (I should have clarified, but I was in a bit of a panic when I posted the status). Basically, they told me to enrol as normal despite me only doing the finishing touches of my dissertation this year and submitting it by January, but when I tried to register the dissertation "class", it crapped out on me and said there was an error with my course records. I think I know what caused it too - I'd already registered for the dissertation last year, so it was already on record that I was doing it. Now I'm waiting for the IT department at uni to fix my account.

I've complained to my specialist mentor about it, and she said another student of hers has had the same problem, so I'm a bit relieved it's not only me dealing with this. I'm also gonna alert my course leader tomorrow, since he might have had emails from other students with the same problem too.

Regarding the PhD, I do have a potential supervisor named in my application. If any hiccups appear with that next, I can talk to her alongside my mentor, since they both know each other (luckily for me).

Ah, that's good. With a few staff members and another student who are in on the situation, I would think either everything will get sorted smoothly, or at least there will be some actual people who can adjust even if the system breaks down. :)
