@TheStarPalace exactly lol. once you see them side by side theres an obvious trend and the fact they dont deviate from it... its kind of annoying, i get they want something very simple as to not imply 'too much' personality since Miku is kind of a base for people to use...but after this many years it starts to look kinda meh :/
I've noticed a common problem with a lot of anime character art is floaty, awkward poses. It's rare to see an anime character portrait with a strong sense of weight and balance. Usually with female characters the standard pose is narrow pigeon-tip-toes on feet that are almost the width of the ankle, which is naturally very hard to achieve in real life. I speculate that this relates to beauty standards - a wide stance with outward pointing feet is considered unladylike in Japan and other countries. A classic example is Chiyu's art.
