  • So I've been trying to tune Miku for cover for the past week or so and I'm just not sure if I've been able to give her the amount of 'life' she needs for this song. :[ It's weird because she gets so close to what I'm trying to go for but every time I go back and review. I keep finding slight problems with the way I tuned her. At least it still counts as practicing so it's not a complete waste of time.
Ahh that felt real good to vent! Anyway, the song is Babooshka by Kate bush by the way. I was going to share my progress but when I went to listen to the playback on Soundcloud I realized I did something wrong with the mixing and I don't know how I can fix it right now.
Finally got my hands on a dollfie dream miku doll for my collection! :) Now I'm just not sure where to put her because of how big she is :[
Why can't MIKU english sing the word 'love' properly smh:cautious:

@Ronny777: Ooh, you're right, the default from the built-in dictionary isn't much good. I only had a few minutes, but here are a few I tried; personally, I think the last one sounds pretty good, but it might not be to your taste/might sound different in your song. I had her pronounce it on a B3 1/8 note.

    l0 V v (Default)

    l V v

    l @ v

    l { v (Personally liked this one.)

Edit: Depending on your purposes, you could also try w { v, though I don't care for it as much as l { v. Another tip: as you're trying phoneme combinations, take a break every so often. As I kept trying these multiple times, they started sounding different to me, either because the samples have some kind of round robins or because they were getting in my head :miku2_move:.

@mobius017 ya I tryed so many combinations. The problem big problem is the note change. Even when i use pitch bend its choppy. what helps with Miku's pronunciation is to chop 1/64th at the beginning of the note and combine stuff until you glitch the samples into making the sound you want. The best i could get was( l0 @ O: { \ - \ - \- v f ). the note is in 4 parts to help with the timing. . Thats not the input I used in my WIP that i posted. I fixed it after posting that. I tried posting a picture but what it looks like but it didn't want to work. :cautious:

Oh, yeah, if you're spreading the word across multiple notes, that can make things even more complicated. Glad you got something to work. Thanks for the tip, too!
Ok, so today my mom told me she was really disappointed because she went to Walmart this weekend to buy me a Hatsune Miku figure. Now, I had to tell her that thats not really something you're going to find at a Walmart in Canada especially not during these trying times. so, she tells me thats odd because they sell some on their web site.... hatsune miku | Walmart Canada
?????? Since when can you buy Hatsune Miku merch at Walmart. Blew my mind.

Update: I ordered the VOCALOID Lily doll (she was a good price) e-mail says she should be here by early January. This has to come from a Walmart in japan right?
Anyone got any english songs they'd like to hear Miku butcher? I'm bored and I want to practice my tuning with a random song.
