CeVIO Deep-learning-based CeVIO further in development

I could be very wrong, but there's a chance the English vocals demonstrated were sampled from the Japanese voicebank and use CEVIO's ai to replicate the diction and pronunciations of an English speaker. That would account for the quality drop off during the language shift at least. I could be...

Who do you think is better, Rin or Len?

I would probably go with Rin because her tone is more natural. Len can sound great, but he's still heavily voice-acted.

With Luka, it depends on the EVEC. Most voice colors are actually just a mildly altered version of the original voice. Given the flexibility of the engine, not really needed (especially with the quality issues). Luka had a few that used new source material though. Thus, EVEC could be used to...

    CeVIO CeVIO Discussion Thread

Yukari English has been under consideration since at least 2015. There's a long-lost, deleted interview where Tomohide Ogata (the guy behind ahsoft) discusses the prospect. He would like to if demand was high, but finds himself limited by technical limitations. Ahsoft strives to have the highest...

Other Hatsune Miku Project G 00

I think that I think that shines a lot more light on what go expect. Does anyone remember Miku's opera "The End"? This is looking like it will be a virtual performance of the same narrative vain. I would expect an vr event with a liner story proggression.

I'm sorta wondering if this will be a DJ event. They tend to be pretty popular in Japan and that might explain the moodier artwork.

US & Canada MikuExpo 2021 tour

As it currently stands, California has taken a more drastic approach than most U.S. states for cutailing the Covid-19 pandemic. While it is entirely possible, Crypton would lose a lot of money and promotion for the synth platform. States like Texas and Georgia are not going to quarentine again...

I don't think he will ever "fit in". Much like Kaito and Meiko don't really fit in among the cv series. While Crypton made efforts to better incorporate them in the v3 updates, they don't have the same appeal outside the fanbase. I feel like CV04 would fall into its own, uneasy niche. CV04 might...

VOCALOID Why do you think not many professional producers use English Vocaloids? Discuss.

Yamaha has struggled with English since gen one. It's hard to get English to sound expressive and audible due to the complexity of the language. Not to mention, most of the funding for vocaloid comes from Japanese and Spaniah speaking communities. Economic incentive was not as strong, thus here...

There's a good chance they hired an idol to do the original voice acting. That could easily explain the high-pitch and weird pitch bends. It's also Meiko so there's a good chance that he will sound... wonky just to preserve her original voice quality.
