SynthV MEGPOID for Synthesizer V from Internet Co., Ltd.

GUMI V6 sounds more metallic and far less vivid than GUMI SV. The latter also has better English, and some vocal modes are better than none. Lastly, pitch tuning in SynthV is much easier than in V6. However, GUMI SV is definitely undertrained. She is ever so slightly choppy, noisier than other...

SynthV POPY and ROSE for Synthesizer V AI

I listen to UtsuP's Sushi-Go-Round with Rose on Spotify all the time, so I don't think Bushiroad is unreasonable about where songs with Popy and Rose can be streamed. Still, needing permission to sell your original song with them is very annoying. It doesn't make sense. Characters like Miku and...

    SynthV SynthesizerV Musical Isotope KAFU

Vocaloid has had a monopoly on vocal synths for an extremely long time. An engine that produces clear vocals and is easy to use should gain popularity. SynthV AI is newer than Vocaloid or CeVIO, so it's getting voicebanks for popular mascots last. Sorry, I forgot my nickname is different here...

SynthV AUDIOLOGIE english Synthesizer V JUN

Yeah, we can't blame Audiologie for the incorrect use of the term screamo. V1c1o3mhm's manipulation of Jun's pitch and vocal modes is masterful. Incredible cover.

SynthV Kasane Teto for Synthesizer V AI

I am totally not crying over this incredible update. She sounds and looks fantastic. This is exactly what she and her creators deserved.

    SynthV Synthesizer V Discussion Thread

Yeah, the guy doesn't seem so bad. And guess what? Turns out his voicebank is pretty amazing. How does Dreamtonics always undersell their products with their demonstrations?

SynthV Xia YuYao new VB crowdfunding campaign has begun

I really appreciate Pigeon releasing all those samples. Great work. Here's another cover from a beta tester: She sounds great.

These three have been my stable favourites for years.

SynthV Xia YuYao new VB crowdfunding campaign has begun

According to my friend she has Southern Chinese pronunciation! He likes it because it's close to his accent.

SynthV Xia YuYao new VB crowdfunding campaign has begun

Agreed with this whole sentiment. Xia Yuyao is already more notable than any Dreamtonics voicebank just by having a design. Simple demos like that show what the basic voice sounds like, but are terrible for judging how interesting the voice is. I wonder what her crosslang will sound like.

SynthV Xia YuYao new VB crowdfunding campaign has begun

A lot of UTAU resamplers make vocals sound sharper, stronger and more crisp than the actual recordings. SynthV AI only recreates the voice as it is, while neutralising the way vowels are carried due to its model. So, Xia Yuyao having a softer sound isn't surprising, but now I'm worried she's...

    CeVIO CeVIO Discussion Thread

They both have really nice voices - Kirune's especially has so much personality in it. I will say, though, UTAU voicebanks recorded with good equipment generally have a clearer sound, so I'll personally stick to OpenUTAU if I'll want their voicetypes. Xuan Yu from SynthV also has a very similar...

CeVIO Bang Dream x Cevio AI Collab

Is the obnoxiously loud music masking the artificial and choppy sound of CeVIO's engine? Probably, but it doesn't do it very well anyway haha. CeVIO's engine is trying really hard to morph Rose's beautiful tone and clear pronunciation. It's a shame, but good mixing can hide a lot of it. I wish...

CeVIO Bang Dream x Cevio AI Collab

Rose is a voice that I have always wanted in synths. She is mature, elegant and full of energy. Her gorgeous design is a cherry on top. The only thing she lacks is real English support. Still! Once I have some spare funds, I am looking forward to getting her.

    Unpopular Opinions

I didn't mean to frame that opinion as negative - the person who called him niche meant it in a good way! I just don't agree with him being called wholly niche in the first place. With his Clear and Warm vocal modes, he can sing pop songs easily. In the same vein, Feng Yi isn't niche just...

    Unpopular Opinions

I am miffed about people creating Diff-SVC voicebanks from people who haven't consented to it. Consent is already such a huge issue in AI technology. A couple of covers made with Peppa Pig's voice may seem harmless, but I've seen voicebanks made from CupcakKe and Billie Eilish's voices as well...

    Unpopular Opinions

This may be completely anectodal to the specific people I follow and see and social media - but I find this opinion isn't unpopular at all. People who love SynthV are generally sick of the alphabet soup and unhappy with how Dreamtonics deals with third party voicebanks. The vast majority of...

    SynthV Synthesizer V Discussion Thread

Every company has its own sound and style. Rikka, Karin and Chifuyu have a similar sound, and so does DT's alphabet soup. There is definitely an overarching quality to SynthesizerV voicebanks that's due to the model it uses, but that's not what makes them sound boring. It's how the singers are...

    SynthV Synthesizer V Discussion Thread

Not only Dreamtonics' voicebanks don't have recognisable images, but their demos are almost always bland, and make the voices sound boring. I don't think girl/boy-next-door voices were ever that popular in the vocal synth community, and DT never shows off the cool things their voice databases...

    SynthV SynthesizerV AI Mai

Mai is released for the beta version of 1.8 update, and she will become a free vocal that comes with Synthesizer V Pro. I heard folks over in Japan really like when a vocal synth comes with a vocal attached to it - well, who doesn't? Dreamtonics has made a really good choice.
