I'm the one playing the Otamatone in the video ;). On one side, a recorder was connected to the Otamatone for optimal sound quality, and on the other, a battery powered the light-up squares on its braids, which light up every time a sound is played. This is therefore a post-production dub, so there might be a slight delay between the audio and the Otamatone. The props (hat, guitars, leek stand) were made with a 3D printer, and the keyboard is from a Miku figurine.
[Fun Fact 1]: The video was filmed on Saturday, February 14, 2026, Valentine's Day. We hadn't paid attention to the date when we were there, and it was only when we saw people trying to sell us roses on the avenue that we realized it. (It was funny)
[Fun Fact 2]: The music video shoot lasted over 6 hours in 2°C weather and freezing winds. Several takes were needed because Mikunette or the props kept flying off in the gusts during filming, or because my fingers were completely frozen, making it impossible to play the Otamatone properly. (Even our equipment case went flying, but we managed to catch it just before it hit the road).
[Fun Fact 3]: Even though filming this little video was quite complicated, it was still fun to see people laughing at Mikunette and the leek. (Even a security guard who was wary of the camera ended up cracking a smile). And I never would have imagined running into people who knew Miku on the avenue. Thinking we were tourists, they wanted a picture of Mikunette (and me? xD) So gentlemen, if you recognize yourselves, it was a pleasure to meet other people who are close to Hatsune Miku, whether they know her well or just casually. ;)
