"HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2026 Song Contest" is an open call for a new song to be performed at an upcoming MIKU EXPO concert tour!
The Grand Prize winner of this contest will be included in the setlist for a future MIKU EXPO planned for 2026.

For the first time, MIKU EXPO is also accepting songs featuring Piapro Characters other than Hatsune Miku.

It's not the first time that there's no theme. I remember that back in 2021 there wasn't one either HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2021 Online | SONG CONTEST

The tour itself hasn't even been announced yet so we'll have to wait and see.

I'm just panicking because I don't have any material yet to start a song for it lol. (The things I have in varying stages of done-ness are either covers or genres that aren't the most Expo-oriented.) I can probably whip up a beat, but I'm going to have to really rack my brain for lyrical inspiration.

Last time the NA tour was announced in early September.

Since the song contest is open until October 22nd, and maybe the 2026 tour will happen around next spring, I think they might announce something this autumn Miku Expo 2025 Asia starts on November 5th for all the month, so I feel an announcement is likely to happen between October 22nd and November(●'◡'●)

So it was lol. It seemed like the time flew by between when the tickets opened and when the tour started.

Looking at the venues chosen for this tour, it appears that they're only getting the standard sized LED screen used in 2024. I don't think they're going to use the mini-Mirai sized LED screens for this one. Some of the venues listed are the same ones they used for the 2024 tour and looking at the concerts from those locations, it appears that they can only accommodate the standard size screen.

This Asia tour was mostly performed at arenas and sports gymnasiums, with the exception of the Singapore leg being performed in a theater.

I'm looking forward to hearing the full version of all of these - I also hope Crypton continues to allow use of other Piapro characters, as seeing a big new Luka song is a breath of fresh air!

Yeah I was looking to downloading the full versions of some of these songs from the producer/uploader but I couldn't find even the winning song uploaded?
Strange, for the Mirai song contest I am used to just finding the songs on Piapro, I assumed since it was an overseas competition it would be on soundcloud or just YouTube or something...
Does that mean we just gotta wait till the songs get an upload sometime later or can you find them somewhere? I was not successful in finding them anyways.

I think that's because the different rules regarding the song contest, especially these points:

-Submissions must be original, unreleased works not tied to any publishers, independent contracts, or management groups.
-Submissions must have been uploaded during the contest dates to be considered for the prizes. Any submissions which were available to the public before the contest start date are not eligible, as well as any submissions uploaded past the deadline.
-Please submit entries through any file sharing service of choice such as Dropbox or Google Drive with downloads enabled.
-Please refrain from publishing the submission to the general public during the contest period. Any submissions found to have been published during or before the contest period will be disqualified.

Piapro has only user interface in japanese (it's open to overseas users, but the interface and support is only in japanese), and yes, whenever there is a song or art contest on Piapro, you can easily check the various submitted works. But in this case, I guess wait a little ^-^ (in the official video description, you can find the channel urls of the producers that have been selected for the contest)
